Fort Worth Police Violently Arrest Black Mom Who Called for Help After Her Son Was Allegedly Choked
Yet another disturbing example of police brutality has been caught on film. A black woman in Fort Worth, Texas called the police to report that a white man choked her seven-year-old son. Instead of helping the woman who called the police, the white police officer who showed up became confrontational and then proceeded to violently arrest the woman and two teenaged girls, one of whom filmed the incident on Facebook Live.

According to the New York Daily News, the 46-year-old mother, Jacqueline Craig, explained to the officer that a white man had tried to choke her son because the boy "threw some paper" and didn't pick it up.

In the video, the bearded white man who allegedly choked the child is standing in the background. Craig explained to the man and the officer: "My son is seven years old. You don’t have the right to grab him, choke him for no paper that he threw. What you should have done because we have been living here for years... you could have came to me. You don’t put your hands on my son."

Given that he was just told that a seven-year-old boy was choked, you'd hope the Fort Worth Police officer would help. Instead, he questioned Craig's parenting, asking, "Why don’t you teach your son not to litter?"

"He can’t prove to me that my son littered," Craig explained. She then pointed out what should've been obvious: "But it doesn’t matter if he did or didn’t. He didn’t have to put his hands on him." But the officer instead replied, "Why not?"

Understandably, the officer's treatment upset Craig, who became increasingly frustrated in the video. She started yelling and acknowledged to the officer, "You pissed me off!" The officer responded by saying if she kept pissing him off, he'd take her to jail.

At that point, Craig's teenaged daughter stepped between the two and tried to push her mother away in an attempt to deescalate the situation. But instead of calming the situation, the officer lost it.

He pulled out his Taser and started brutally grabbing the mother and her daughters. He slammed Craig to the ground, put his knee into her back, and pointed his Taser at the young women watching the police brutality. After subduing Craig, he then slammed Craig's daughter to the ground and handcuffed her as well. The officer then took the two handcuffed women to his SUV.

The woman who was filming the video screamed profanities at the police officer throughout the video. After the officer put the two other women into his SUV, he then lunged at the woman who was filming, knocking her phone out of her hand and telling her, "OK, you're going to jail too."

Craig, her 19-year-old daughter Brea Hymond, and her 15-year-old daughter were arrested and taken to jail, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The Fort Worth Police Department is aware of the situation and is investigating. They have refused to identify the police officer at this point, but wrote in a statement, "The involved officer has been placed on restricted duty status by the Chief of Police pending the outcome of the internal investigation."

Craig, who had outstanding warrants for traffic violations in Irving, Texas, is being held on those charges in addition to the latest charges of resisting arrest and failing to identify as a fugitive, according to Fox 4. Hymond was charged with resisting arrest and interfering with public duties.

The white man who allegedly choked the seven-year-old boy was not arrested.

We're going to see an uptick on police brutality with a focus on black women in 2017.

Mark my words.

Regarding the police, it's also worth noting that the Fraternal Order Of Police has released a statement about their requests for Trump.
https://fop.net/CmsDocument/Doc/TrumpFirst100Days.pdf
It includes requests to remove a Bush-era ban on racial profiling and other deplorable proposals. :smh:
And then they try to act like people don't have justifiable cause to be wary of police.

Lousy police. Clearly isn't cut out to be a cop. Should be terminated for his handling of the situation.

Person behind the camera was obnoxious.

That cop should be fired and the man that put his hands on that 7 year old boy should be arrested.

You on live!!  :smh:

From what I can see they're more racist than the cop, "THIS WHITE MAN PUT HIS HANDS ON"

Because of that, I'd like to laugh at you all again. Ahh hahahaha

Excessive? Up for debate. They will have their day in court.

Really though, if a cop doesn't like you or your attitude, watch out. Better just to play the game and be polite. Or, bang bang/zap zap/body slam.

A white cop arresting a black person doesn't make that cop racist - Sure he arrests people of all color.

You're a prime example if why I miss the application process to join NT...

Oh yeah... and how would that make a difference? What kind of vetting would you expect me to fail?  Because we disagree on certain things, I'm not allowed on a public forum?

I never said he handled the situation properly. But yeah, I normally side with the police. I agree with law and order and these people are put in positions of authority. Respect their authority.

They could get off scott-free and he could get fired. Well then... that's a possible outcome still isn't it?

He definitely didn't handle the situation with patience, that's for sure. Cops have a very stressful job - Not saying how he handled the situation was right but people act like cops aren't human too. Like some of ya'll haven't been ready to body slam somebody real quick for how they talked to you.

Excessive? Up for debate. They will have their day in court.

Instead of everyone going in on him... Let's nip this in a bud early.

1. "They're more racist" - I don't think you understand what racism is. If you want to say bigoted, even though that would be wrong, it would still be more applicable. Acknowledging someone's race isn't racist... Someone making you AWARE of the races at hand isn't racist.l, either.

2. "Cops have a stressful job". They signed up for the stressful job. Do you say "surgeons have stressful jobs" if they cut an artery and kill their patient?

3. "Like some of y'all wouldn't body slam". No, I wouldn't body slam an elderly black woman no matter how disrespectful she is. Unlike this cop, I would rather de escalate than dominate

4. "Excessive? Up for debate. They'll have their day in court" any logical person can take one look at that, no matter the color of the woman, and see it's excessive. The problem is there is a large group of people in this country that feels because it's a black woman, then it's justified... And those people happen to get called into jury panels to convict... They will not see this black woman as an equal human, sort of like how you're doing now.

5. "Really though, if a cop doesn't like you or your attitude, watch out. Better just to play the game and be polite. Or, bang bang/zap zap/body slam." When did being rude be cause for getting harmed / arrested? I didn't know it was against the law to disrespect an officer. And shouldn't the respect be mutual? And finally, why are regular citizens required to keep their cool, but trained, paid professionals aren't? We lose our **** of a pro athlete goes on a rant against some fans, but when a pro cop body slams a citizen, we don't question the professional cop and instead go after the citizen. How sway.

6. "A white cop arresting a black person doesn't make that cop racist - Sure he arrests people of all color." So it's perfectly fine for you to assume that he's NOT racist based on NOTHING... YOU DONT KNOW HIS HISTORY, HEART, FRIENDS, UPBRINGING, NOTHING... And it's okay for you to assume he's not...

But clear video evidence that could argue the opposite side + years of history + the foundation of this country... And it's a leap to say there's race influencing this...

Again, you're perfectly cool with saying someone isn't racist based in nothing... But totally against saying someone is racist based on video + history.

No need to pay too much attention to this post, NT famb... Shred the argument and move on.

BUuuuuuut the fact that you went with "stressful job" as an excuse is pitiful. Waiters and waitresses also have stressful jobs but they can never use the power that they have to MAKE you treat them how they want to be treated. If you don't think they have power, just think about how your food gets from kitchen to your table

Practically every job is stressful but it's never okay to lash out at people because YOU can't handle your job description.

Stressful job. Lol. Me and my ex who became a cop would have spats about how risky being a cop actually is vs tv portrayal. Very interesting times that I wouldn't do over.

1. "THIS WHITE MAN" Yeah, that's not said in a negative way at all. It was definitely necessary to bring up what color the ONE person standing on the sidewalk is. Agree to disagree on that one buddy.

2. So cops don't have a stressful job? Cmon now man. Of course they do. I didn't say "He has a stressful job so anything he does is justified" It's not up to me to decide whether it was excessive. That day is coming, soon.

3. You're right - But I wasn't speaking of body slamming an old lady. I'm sure nobody has ever made you upset enough to be physical then - Lord knows people don't lose their cool sometimes. He very well might lose his job due to losing his cool. If so, so be it.

4. I disagree. I didn't see him taze her or body slam her. He put her in the position to be arrested. That's called procedure. Did I miss something on the video? I don't recall him SLAMMING her down. If he DID slam her.. yeah that's a little excessive. But again, not up to me.

5. "When did being rude be cause for getting harmed / arrested? I didn't know it was against the law to disrespect an officer." LOL, good luck out in the world man. It's called picking your battles and being wise. You want to be rude to an officer because you don't have enough self-control to bite your tongue knowing that's the most efficient path through the situation? Some people are more calculated/smarter than others... to say the least.

6. I completely disagree with you. Nothing in that video screams out, that cop is racist. Because the person he is arresting is black? Sorry that doesn't qualify. If you think that's the case, then you must want white people to arrest white people and black people to arrest black people. Ridiculous. What I did hear though was an obnoxious little girl yelling "THIS WHITE MAN" in a negative light.

after a kid allegedly threw a piece of paper, a white guy choked/grabbed him

the parent called the police on the choking

honestly, this is what i think happened.

Little boy was being a little boy.. Prolly was playing in his yard or threw some stuff in it... White guy got upset and confronted the boy. The little boy prolly told him "you aint my daddy" or made him feel like he couldn't just flex on him, so the white guy got more upset. He then handled the little boy physically.

Little boy starts crying, and yells "i'm going to go tell my mama"

Mama came outside w/ some other family b/c he's a 7 year old and if anyone's 7 year old tells them that a grown man physically assaulted them, then you're going to go out there confrontational.

White guy sees this coming, and knows he's wrong as ****... So, like clockwork, he goes into victim mode and calls the police... Told them there were a bunch of black people outside ready to harm him and he doesn't know why.

Mama sees he won't come outside, and called the police for the same call.. AFTER the white guy called the police (this is very key)

Police show up, and the videos go live from there.

Police feels the white guy is being victimized, and goes to confront the woman.

Woman's daughter tries to step in and pull momb-dukes back, and the copper escalates.
