ALIEN-verse : Covenant (May 19, 2017) - Universe to Expand 2019

It's a sequel, but not the story some of us wanted. I read what the time difference is between prometheus and this, meh. I wanted Shaw to continue being the lead.
 
Franco as the captain seems like an odd casting decision to me. To me a captain is either old and wise, or jacked and bad as. It doesn't even look like he's playing crazy Franco. Must be s sign he's one of the first to die.
 
I really dont have high hopes for this movie. Which is a shame, I was really looking forward to it before I saw the first trailer

im fully expecting a typical horror movie devoid of any common sense or intelligence.

the meatheads and casual movies fans will love it, which means big money at the box office, and thats what the studio wants.

Aside from the fact that James Franco is a stunt king who would absolutely sign up to get his eyeballs get ripped out (or something gross like that) 10 minutes into a movie, there’s some hard evidence behind these odds. Franco’s participation in Covenant was announced just two months ago, a full eight months after the movie began filming. Was Fox trying to keep his role a secret? Maybe. Or he was brought in at the last minute specifically to die a gruesome, borderline hilarious death. Another hint: Franco appears to be the captain in this prologue, but in the first trailer released for Covenant, Billy Crudup’s character is referred to as captain. And finally, Franco is wrapped up in a comfy blanket in the latest preview and actually says the words, “I’m feeling kinda queasy.” Yeah bro, that’s ’cause you have an alien inside of you.

Beginning looks like prometheus. They land and search stuff in the engineer ship.

I just wanted a continuation of Shaw's story and what she found when she landed. But nope.:stoneface:
 
damn it, the spoiler storyline I read appears to be true. I wanted more out of this movie.

In case anyone cares, soft spoilers:
In short, almost all of the plot holes from Prometheus are not addressed, there are no living engineers, and the genesis of the Xenomorph is incredibly convoluted and contradictory.

She's in the movie, this been stated dozens of times :lol:

That's the ship her and the original David used.
 
I really hope they use more practical effects throughout the movie.

That CGI Alien on the windshield at the end of the trailer looked off
