I've been to over a hundred NFL games, mostly front row. No question, would prefer watching on a big screen at home. Ease to get to bathroom, eat food that doesn't cost $25, not sitting in 35 degree weather, not deal with drunk bums, better angles on TV, etc.

NFL knows this or streaming games would be a lot better, aka mlb.tv

I could see Hoculi's veins popping out his arms when I went.

Football is a sport where being closer kinda sucks.
Bottom of the upper level is by far the best place to sit in Seattle

wherever you are, you're going miss a ton.. I recommend every football fan going at least once

but you can get a decent sized ('55-'60) HD tv for pretty cheap.. and then you don't gotta pay a ton for parking and then you got the over priced food and beer

in a game where inches can be huge.. I want to be able to see what's going on

I would disagree. I have a parking pass that cost me $300 total on the year for 10 games and the garage has its own exit to the freeway so it's easy to get there and back. Only a couple minute walk. I can see the entire play develop from my seat and really get to see how somebody like Earl Thomas plays. And I can get food for cheap on the street Infront of the stadium before and after the game.

That's awesome.

How much were those seats? When I went out to GB in 2010 I was surprised by how reasonably seats were priced... I was 20 rows up from the field and they were $110-120 range.  You cant park for that much at Metlife...

With $100 in fees through some seller via seat geek they came out to $150 a person. They were 5th row.

You may not have seen what I said yesterday with the way the thread moved but i mentioned there was so many seats open to the public because the season ticket holders didnt reserve them like they usually do because they thought we weren't gonna make the playoffs. I somehow got these tickets the night before the game. Gotta be an anomaly. 5 minutes after we got to our seats we heard someone else say how the hell did we get these seats so cheap.

$110-120 for 20th row seems like a great deal to me as well. Face value for those was probably around $90 at that time.
God damn.

I gotta make more trips out there... Too bad the flight situation to GB sucks... I don't think a direct flight to Appleton exists from any airport within 200 mi from here.

I know one guy that went out from NYC to the game... not sure how much his total trip was though. Trying to find out for future reference.

My trip in 2010 wasn't bad. Maybe $300 for plane tickets and $110 for game tickets and then only $79/night at the Hampton Inn when I worked for Hilton made it pretty affordable.

Why would you fly to appleton, when you can fly to green bay? There are flights to GB from Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis every day.

only posting in here because Lombardi agreed with simmons and he might be in someone's favorite team's front office at some point

but any of yall listen to bill simmons podcast from Friday?

simmons said the eli apple would have gone 3rd if the draft was redone today.. even if you take out the QBs: dak and wentz

dude aint going over zeke, bosa or conklin in a redraft

then you have other rookies who have played well, where you can make positional arguments.. like tyreek hill or even amongst the DBs jalen ramsey or hargreaves

I don't remember anything apple did that stood out THAT much.. wasn't he the 3rd corner behind Jenkins and DRC?
