I hope this is the start of big things to come for Errol Spence Jr!!!

It's very easy to like this kid and his fighting style is very impressive. Kell Brook might be the best fighter he'll face in 5 years. His body shots wear you down and he has power to knock you out. Plus he took some strong shots to the chin by Brook.

When Keith Thurman/ Manny/ Porter/ feel ready to fight a real fighter, I think Spence will dominate them. If Terrence Crawford wants to stop playing games and fight at welterweight, he might be a strong match for Spence, but that's probably 2 to 3 years away.

What makes Bud a viable contender at 147 is that he's the exact same size and has the exact same reach as Floyd.

5'8" and 72"

When Bud gets older, he'll put on more weight and will have the ultimate opportunity to dominate the division for years to come.

a 72" reach at welterweight is a tremendous advantage to have especially if you possess tremendous boxing skills.

I think it's safe to say Manny is on his farewell tour. Cashing out slowly, he isn't gunna fight the top guys at 147

Cashing out slowly is right. But he can't go out like this, fighting tomato cans on his way out.

I think Manny will sooner than later fight a top notch champ, whether it's the winner of Thurman-Spence, Crawford, or Floyd.

There's no way he goes out fighting an unknown and will have to "pass the Top Rank torch" one way or another much like Oscar did when he gave Manny his shot and when Chavez Sr. gave Oscar his chance to take the mantle. It's a right of passage.

Manny has no more points to prove. The up and comers are too talented to take the risk and I honestly believe that the general public would not spend money on another PPV fight between Mayweather and Pac. Even if it was half the price. He will go down as a legend regardless but to get in there with Spence, Crawford or Thurman at this point would be a risk that he doesnt have to take.

While I agree with your take...

money talks. And Manny needs plenty of it. Even if it's with the risk of fighting an elite fighter. It's not like Manny has taken "beatings" in the last half decade. Only beating he's taken was getting put to sleep by Marquez. Other than that, he's come out of fights fairly unscathed the last 5 years.

What I like about Manny and what I will never doubt is that he has the balls to risk taking a beating. Dude flat out is willing to go to war every time he steps in the ring as long as his opponent is down to do the same.

Very true...I get what you mean for sure. I guess as a fan I don't want to see him go down that road because 147 if no other division is talent laden in 2017. You got some real monsters at Welterwight.

Manny can still hold his own

Absolutely, but I'd rather see Manny go out gracefully than fight these young lions. Father Time is undefeated
The best of the best always test themselves.

Ali tested himself against Holmes on his way out. Tito Trinidad, Chavez Sr., Oscar all did the same. Even Iron Mike fought Prime Lewis when we all knew Tyson was all but done.

Manny has to give these young lions a right of passage. It's the unwritten sacred law of boxing and is the only way for the young lions to build their name and establish themselves as PPV worthy stars.

Very true, I love the division where it's at right now. Thus, even more so that I want Pacquiao to take the ultimate challenge. It's not like dude is fighting Drago.

In all honesty the true gate keeper is Mayweather but the risk isn't worth the reward. Do you think he's the exception? @wHipLAshTw03

Now what I don't want to see is 40-year old Manny fighting 50-year old Marquez in a redemption match lol

Manny would drop one of these young dudes that left is still wicked

That left is still wicked, but im not sure if Manny drops some of these guys who have a chin (Porter) or can move around the ring enough (Thurman) to make him uncomfortable.

Mayweather is definitely the "gatekeeper" and is the one everyone wants to fight. But the fact Floyd calls literally all the shots bodes a problem and an obstacle at the same time. Hence, he's "the exception" like you said.

Pac is the only one who I think Mayweather would get up for because of one thing:  Pacman is the only fighter who will generate the type of revenue that Mayweather deems satisfactory.

Floyd truly don't wanna fight Connor he only wants to fight Manny, but he may be forced in that joke of a fight

Thurman probably beats Manny at this point. Thurman's movement (lower body and upper body) will spell major problems for Pacquiao because Thurman has that combo of speed, angles, and power not too many WW's posses. But I think Pac beats Spence if they fight tomorrow.

Bud vs Pac is a pick 'em fight, with Bud the slight edge.

I agree 100%. Floyd gonna take his 50-0 and run with it.

I think Floyd is waiting to see what Manny gonna do. Meaning...if Manny is gonna end up becoming the lineal WW champ in the next year or so. If Pac ends up with the WBC, WBO, and WBA belts, I can see Floyd getting amped up and wanting to take on Pac because if Pac once again reaches the mountaintop, we all know Floyd's ego gonna want to hear none of it lol

Mayweather is retired and is not coming back unless it's conor. He knows he can cash out and win an easy fight. Manny shouldn't be fighting any of these welterweights right now he's still good but not in his prime like during the cotto and margarito fights. He should fight Khan, Brook or garcia. if Earl fights Thurman and wins I want to see him move up and fight triple g

Thurman chin is suspect tho...
