Wait how is this a race thing? If it was the ones taking the biggest L would be white people, the oscars is a white awards show, the presenters were white, the losers were white (mostly)

The internet is comparing La La Land to the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Falcons, and Cleveland Indians, teams that went down as some of the most famous LOSERS of all time.

No one is even talking about the fact that La La Land won 6 Oscars, people are only talking about the one they lost.

So again, how did these white folks come out on top?

Who cares? I do know that I need to watch Moonlight, though. I avoided it because I thought it would be too heavy a movie, but from what I hear it's a smooth watch.

None of this will take away from Moonlight being an Academy Award WINNER....the only thing it took away from them was it sort of ruined the acceptance speech....you think the L L Land peeps are happy because they are trending more than Moonlight? Highly doubt it.

People really running away with this to push whatever agenda they're after...

Here's what we know: There are 2 sets of envelopes in 2 briefcases that are brought to the Oscars by PwC (pricewaterhousecoopers) by 2 individuals who work for PwC. They are the only two people who know the winners.

The envelope for Best Actress was correctly handed to Leo daGod, who correctly awarded Best Actress to Emma Watson, who then took that envelope with her. Then, for some reason, the second Best Actress envelope, which is used as a backup for whatever reason, got handed to Warren Beatty instead of the Best Picture envelope. It's unclear how or why this happened. Hopefully we will get an explanation.

This excludes a bunch of other conspiracies. There was not another envelope planted by a third party. Leo or Emma didn't sneak the Best Actress envelope back into the pile. Kimmel wasn't pulling a stunt.

PwC makes their whole reputation over getting this right. It's their only job in life, it seems. So they have no interest in such a blunder arising. It's most likely a mistake but it could be a giant conspiracy or prank, sure.... Hopefully PwC will explain what happened soon.
