What's popping NT
I know 80%+ of y'all are car enthusiasts/know everything about everything, so maybe y'all can shed some light. Let's hope this doesn't turn into a lease vs own argument, although I wouldn't be opposed to that.

So my dream car is a Range Rover. Don't ask me why. I'm from NY, I grew up with little. So when i make plans and goals and finally get the opportunity to afford something like what I strived for as a kid, I know nothing else but to go for it. Now I'm just not sure if it's the best decision. In the next year, I'm more than positive that I'll be able to afford one of these comfortably. Hell..I've been saving for this for a minute. i don't want to make the wrong decision.

Are range rovers reliable? In the past I've heard so many mixed reviews about em. I've heard that they are trash. I've heard that they are British garbage, I've heard that maintenance is a *****. Maybe one of y'all can shed some light.

And if the above is true...I'm guessing it would make the most sense to lease, right? Avoid the whole maintenance issue? (Not to mention, if I lease, I'll have the full payments for the 36 months already stashed away). I don't know **** about cars

You see more ford suv's than range rover in general though.

that's besides da point, im talking specifically da generation comparison.

range rovers are whips you buy if you're a sadomasochistic with your pockets.

let's not even talk about depreciation.

Watch that video op...detailed owners account of what has gone wrong with his used Range Rover. The repairs have surpassed the cost of the truck itself  :smh:

Damn :smh:
So da general consensus is a no :/
To be honest with you. I love the way the range looks. The shape and everything...
Ain't no SUV sexier, pa. I'm trynna sexy myself up.

The old ones especially when owned by ford and that Indian company were reall really really bad cars. So many issues

I'll be honest I haven't heard much about the current ones good or bad. I'll assume they're better than the old because I know some who had them and they wouldn't wish those kind of issues on anyone.

I was looking at a Range Rover Sport last week. Too small though.

Just a heads up Range Rover is releasing the Velar. So I expect allot of them on the road since they are affordable.

Full size range is nice but I prefer the Mark III body. Extended warranty is a must for the Range Rovers.

From what i was told, if youre gona go the range route, always buy brand new. Other than that, dont even bother.

I was looking at getting a svr sport or the new track hawk around the end of the year

my old boss had one...rode in it a few times to company functions, much luxurious

worked well for running the kids to school and soccer practices and such

Listen if you can afford to lease it and maintain and renew that lease every 3 years you'll get a good car those 3 years upon every renewal.

Now if you plan to purchase, especially a used one. Then I'll spare you the stress. Just get a garbage can. Toss the money you would have spent on it and set it ablaze. Because after 3 years the car will have serious issues.

People still buying overpriced Escalades? I ain't seen one of those legitimately on the road for years

where do you live?

People down here in the south still copping them I done seen hella 2017s on the road. The new ones have them huge blinding tail lights :x

Always hear how terrible these car are. Like they are always in the shop. They look dope, but I wouldn't purchase just on that reputation alone

Lease one, and youll be fine. No point in buying these luxury cars, imo.

I think that this is the key point. Never buy luxury cars. If you can't afford to lease then you are going to struggle to maintain it long term unless you just like throwing money away.
