Regarding comics....
There is a difference between a joke involving race and a racist joke.
The problem some are having is that society has raised the bar on what is an acceptable race based joke and many struggle to make good ones because they are not smart or clever enough
Many others are just lazy or racist and want to complain about society passing them by.
While I do think a small minority of people tend to overact at some jokes, like making a joke about black families cheering loudly at seeing their kids graduate is not on the same level as calling black kids lazy and violent. Content and context do matter.
However, being a comedic is no a hall pass to say vile racist ****. If that is your profession and you can't get a laugh without being racist, then you suck at your profession. Period.
