What...

He looks really old plus I don't even know what that is that he's wearing...soo much struggle tity boy damb

For real. I can't take this dude seriously. 6 months ago all he wore was True Religion and then he met 'Ye... How you 36 years old and just gonna' let another man switch your whole style up for you?

From ashy to classy...this dude Jay is living the life....he must sit at home and reflect on where he is at today and where he was 20+ years ago and just smile...all this dude has achieved in one lifetime...

This. It really is astounding if you look at the scope of it. I remember Jay's early records, with Jaz, with Original Flavor, the solo stuff.

It's crazy how far that man has come. That picture is like a ******g Hallmark card!

I ran through that buck 50 LiveNation fronted me, they're working on another deal; they're talking TWOOOO HUNDRED FIFTY... I'm holding out for 3. 275 and I just might agree.

Too much winning in one body.

Nas' fit is clean as hell :pimp:

For real. I knew he was going to be a star though. Not in the Hawaiian Sophie days, but by the "In My Lifetime" era, I was like - this guy is fantastic. When Reasonable Doubt dropped, I had such high hopes and it was one of the few times hopes that high didn't lead to disappointment.

Ski laced that joint. The harder tracks were great too, but I always think about the Camp Lo thing and about how crazy it would have been if half of those beats were '96 era Jay's too. ...Though, don't get me wrong, Camp Lo provided plenty of bangers on that album in their own right.

But, yeah, Jay can basically supplant Horatio Alger as the archetype of the American Myth (um, dream...). He was also, just like an outlier of success (word to Malcolm Gladwell) in the right place at the right time and had some very important experiences and circumstances that set him up for success. (This is probably a convo for another time, and a theory you probably have additional information to add to.) But, he sure as hell took it and ran with it in a way that few artists of any genre have been able to do. ...Now, if only he would have bought Sauce out of his deal at Priority and made a "Foundation" album instead of the Dynasty. But, that's his Cormega out The Firm moment.

I gotta say, for the amount of $ Ye got, and Kim and all that ****, he does looks flabby and sick. And apparently he's a habitual mean mugger. Kim on the other hand is a miracle. She's supposed to be fat and wobbly but all the $ she capitalized after she got piped by Ray Ray keeps her in amazingly tight form.

Can't wait to see media and all the stans tear her apart when she lets loose, which is bound to happen...ticking time gluttony bomb.

Still not the biggest fan of Jay z the "rapper", but as a businessman/artist that came from nothing, he gets all my respect.

I didn't know that was him in the picture until steezy mentioned it.

Oh, it will happen.

The key difference between the two is that she is professional sex symbol. It is her job to look good. Ye, on the other hand, is a musician (and, yes, a tastemaker too). But, his job is to make music. He can be flabby or surly, whatever - he has redeemable non, superficial qualities and legitimate talent. KK, however, is just a pretty face and body that acts as the figurehead and public face of other people's hard work. Once she can't maintain that anymore, there's no reason for anybody to care about her (honestly, there's no reason for anybody to even care about her now, but that's w/e) and the media will go in. The more undeserving you are of your fame in the first place, the harder the fall that awaits you when the public and corporate world doesn't find you sufficiently profitable to exploit any further.

Tity boi always been a weird dresser, also a bipolar dresser

He used to wear funny patterned vest with fedoras, and he used to put together these weird Ralph Lauren outfits. Also used to drape himself in ugly designer scarves

He def wore WAYYYYY more than true religion,

He has songs for 2-3 years ago dedicated to polo and versace

Wait - there's really a rapper out there named Tity Boi?

Did he intentionally name himself after a 90s male porn actor?

^ He's been tity boi for like the last 10 years.

Changed his name to 2 chainz within the last year or 2 after he starting getting mainstream attention

Oh, so 2 Chainz and Titi Boi are the same person?

And, one of them (or the man who is both) has "mainstream attention?"

Aight, aight. I'ma need an app for this though. Contemporary hip hop flashcards or something.

I've been through this before though. Intelligent Hoodlum > Tragedy; Ruck > Sean Price; all the Wu aliases; Zev Love X > MF Doom; The New Style > Naughty by Nature. ...Where's Phil at? C'mon, jump in here, I know I'm missing some good ones.

Big Moon Dawg is a good one. ...Did he actually release anything under that name though?

The rest were a little too obvious. I don't really consider those full-on name changes. To that, you could add Biggie Smalls > Notorious BIG; MC Cor > Cormega; Puff Daddy > P Diddy, The Warlocks > The Lox, etc.

But, here's another true change that we forgot - Smif-n-Wessun > Cocoa Brovas
