Been hearing this since 2008 and Spain keeps coming up short while the US keeps winning gold.look at spain's bigs:

If Kobe was the kind of man who would be ok with being the 12th man on team usa, cheering his teammates on, he wouldn't be chucking up 4 from 17 from 3 for a game.
You do realize that the current Lakers dynamic is a tad bit different from the setup of Team USA, right?
Some of yall must have had a turkey on wheat w/ a side of paint chips for lunch today.
Has Ibaka even played well since joining them? I never feel like he's made an impact

Also Melo and KD at the 4USA bigs are Blake, DMC, Drummond, AD, PG & Bron as Small 4sthere's no competition imo.
it's called managing mins and rotations.. no singular player plays the whole gameAll 4 of them can't play together damn shame and Rubio has been getting hurt too muchlook at spain's bigs:

so that's 6 spots taken then.. with only 5 remaining, if some get their wish of kobe being gifted a spot as a retirement giftUSA bigs are Blake, DMC, Drummond, AD, PG & Bron as Small 4sthere's no competition imo.
So the point you're trying to make is, if Kobe plays, Spain has a chance because of their bigs? Is that what you're going with

and you forgot KD
Derrick Rose has held opposing teams' starting point guards below their average points.
- Mudiay Wednesday: 2-13 for 4 points
Tony Parker: 6-12 for 13 points- George Hill: 3-8 for 6 points (Monta Ellis did have 20 as sort of a point guard in the Bulls win on 9-20 the other game when Hill was hurt)
- Damian Lillard: 4-22 for 19 points
- Kemba Walker: 6-12 for 13 points and 5-18 for 13 points.
- Westbrook: 7-18 for 20 points
- Shane Larkin, Brooklyn: 3-8 for 6 points.
- Elfrid Payton: 2-7 for 4 points
- Mo Williams: 7-15 for 19 points
- Ricky Rubio: 2-10 for 7 points
- Someone named McConnell from the 76ers: 3-8 for 6 points
- Reggie Jackson: 9-24 for 22 points.
D. Rose for defensive player of the year

by pointing out how limited 12 roster spots are?So the point you're trying to make is, if Kobe plays, Spain has a chance because of their bigs? Is that what you're going with

what does that have to do with the gasols, mirotic and ibaka?Nah b it's called the Fiba rule of only allowing one naturalized playerit's called managing mins and rotations.. no singular player plays the whole game
kobe stansAre they really considering Kobe for the Olympic team?
what does that have to do with the gasols, mirotic and ibaka?
When's the last time USA was hurt by injuries
by pointing out how limited 12 roster spots are?
that's a statement of fact.. wasting 1 of your 12 spots is incredibly stupid.. when you factor in potential matchups and the strong possibility of injuries
Lol, here goes the name calling
kobe stans
US only beat spain by 7 for the gold medal in 2012.. and that took some huge shots down the stretchWhen's the last time USA was hurt by injuries

I would bet you the NT standard $150 that the US will beat Spain by at least double digits with or without Kobe. Their bigs are great don't get me wrong, but they don't have a good chance of beating the US
