How will they be better?

2009 Kobe 30/5/5 on 50 pct eFG

2015 Curry 28/5/6 on 56 pct eFG

You know the Warriors are going to win more than 65 games this season and Curry is playing better this season, so he's likely to surpass last seasons numbers.
Really arguing just to argue

That 2009 Lakers team was really good and Kobe was in the back end of his prime, but I wouldn't say they either were dominant.

The best team that Lakers squad was an okay Nuggets team, that was a down year if we are being honest.

And a healthy Celtics team would have smashed them.

09 Celts wouldn't have changed anything. We had Bynum/Ariza back, no more Turiaf/Luke Walton lineups for Boston to feast on.

Still, shoulda been the Cavs that year. Woulda at least had one Kobe-Bron matchup.

kobe should just try to get his hakeem nigerian scam on. teaching these kids moves they will never be able to learn and have them come back every yr
sell them "Kobe's Secret Stuff" AKA repackaged bodyarmor sports drink for $100 a bottle

Kings reject offer from Cavaliers for Timofey Mozgov

he NBA Trade Deadline is just 9 days away, and the rumor mill is churning away. The latest rumor regarding the Sacramento Kings comes from ESPN's Brian Windhorst, who went on a radio show in Cleveland to say that the Kings have rebuffed offers from the Cavaliers for their starting center, Timofey Mozgov.

Windhorst doesn't make it clear what the Cavs wanted in return for Mozgov, but even still, it makes little sense for the Kings to trade for a player at a position in which they already have much depth. With DeMarcus Cousins, Willie Cauley-Stein and Kosta Koufos on board, Mozgov does not present a clear upgrade. Perhaps the only value Mozgov holds for the Kings is in his expiring contract. If the Cavs were willing to take Marco Belinelli's contract in return for Mozgov, that might be something worth considering, although that move does little to help our already weakened backcourt.

In short...

This was the only thing I wished that could have happened during Kobe's prime years. A Kobe Lebron matchup would have been epic.

Nike should have pressured $tern and the league to make it happen.
