sas is swinging from westbrooks nuts way too hard.

Nah if you watched the game OKC was switching ALOT but that was their gameplan, and steph wasn't very efficient last night. When Russ was on him he def helped to stop a few of those wide open shots curry gets off quick screens by simply using that insane athleticism of his. with that said i don't think anyone understands how much it would take out of Russ to follow curry around screens and picks the entire game and still be expected to do what he does on offense.

All in All OKC played decent defense against the W's, way too many turnovers leading to fastbreaks & guys like livingston/ Speights hitting shots their not known for. Basically GSW is just an superior team compared to OKC & if they meet in the playoffs it goes 6 max.

Also my ? would it be in OKC's benefit to slide to the 4th seed & possibly avoid the SA/GSW until the WCF?

Someone in here said Westbrook had an "off night" from three last night. Like he isn't a career 30% shooter from three. John Wall, for his career, is a better 3pt shooter than Westbrook but he gets much more flack for his shooting.

OKC just has way too much trash on the roster man. GSW has absolutely no answer for Durant & it doesn't even matter

Brooks & now Donovan are far from perfect, but they have glaring holes on that roster to the point where it doesn't matter who the coach is, particularly because SAS/GSW have elite coaching.

Moved Harden for what turned into Adams, McGary, Lamb, & Martin. Only 1 of those guys is still in the rotation.

While they don't have the talent of a GS/SA from top to bottom, OKC is far from a team full of scrubs outside of KD/ Russ. They just don't have too many guys outside of Kanter who can create there own offense consistently.
There's 13 players on the roster. You just gave me 3 names. We'll throw in Serge & Adams, so that's 5. Everyone else is limited hence "OKC just has way too much trash on the roster." What exactly is the difference between what I said & what you said?

With that said some kind of actual basketball plays have to be ran to atleast try and get these gots easy baskets. The few times they did run something outside of a screen & roll from 25+ feet out they actually got guys easy layups.

When you have two top 5 talents you have a chance to beat any team, and OKC has been able to either be ahead, or neck and neck in every game thus far. It's a few costly possesions that are costing them the game and those usually are possessions where KD/Russ have a played CALLED for them that involves them holding the ball at the three with no kind of movement for anyone else. A lot of that is on coaching. Why not run some screens for a singler and get him an open shot, a pick and pop for Ibaka, Catch & shoots for waiters etc etc... the lack of creativity makes it easy to guard OKC and that shouldn't be the case when you have two guys who can score 50 on a given night.

Russ played horrible all night last night & despite that They were up 9 with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd, then KD goes out... ISO ISO ISO at the three point line allowing GS to load up on westbrook and cause turnovers. I understand there stars but you have to put stars in a position to win.
No argument there. Schematically, Billy D absolutely has room for improvement.

At the same time, in the playoffs, great players are going to iso down the stretch regardless of the system. Even a team like the Spurs run & will continue to run a ton of isos & post ups for Kawhi & LMA. They obviously do much more than that throughout the game, but isolation is also a weapon they use.

IMO, and I'm a huge fan of him, KD should go and research how Reggie Miller/Rip Hamilton got theirs....

just imagine if Reggie Miller was 6'11 :smh: :smh: :smh:

I agree that Iso gets used for great players, but Pop would never have 5-6 straight possessions where his strategy is the iso his star at the top of the three point line. KD is 7 feet has an unstoppable pull up why not set up a play and allow him to go baseline, Iso Russ in the post against Curry... just something to make the defense think and react differently.

woops

He'd be significantly better off if his shot selection mirrored '05-'07 Wade. He takes way too many threes for a 29-30% guy.

Was only a matter of time. He was still elite physically after returning. Ultra quick. It looked like he just forgot how to actually play  was very weird. Glad he's found the rhythm again.

You want me to let go of what? Rose has been improving every month since December, that's all I'm saying. February has been a very good month for him. Media would be making more of a story of it if the Bulls didn't suck.
