Right. I agree. I actually like Blatt.
But if Lebron is bringing you finals appearances and he, (And others. Because it really wasn't just him that wasn't rocking with David. That is getting lost here. The ENTIRE TEAM didn't rock with him) doesn't want blatt there anymore, what do you do?
You compromise with your superstar HoF talent that's still in his prime.
NO. No you don't. You tell that MF'er that you didn't want him back and that he chose to come back. It's one thing if he came back and won a ring last year, then it's like "damn this dude really gave us a ring" but he came back last year and it was like he never left Cleveland. Still losing when it counted the most. If it really was personnel that wasn't meshing with Blatt, then the split was inevitable from that perspective but the narrative that's been gaining a lot of steam is that Blatt was never Lebron's personal choice, therefore Lebron never showed that man any respect as a coach. Then you get slurpers like Tristan "let me call you king" Thompson and J.R. Smith to follow and now you have a lack of respect in the locker room toward a man who just wanted to coach NBA ball.
I hope Carlisle, Pop or Kerr pick up Blatt and add him as an assistant or something. I want Phil Jackson to chime in on this too. I was loving last season when Phil was telling the world how lebron didn't know how to do anything but travel.
