it's wild watching Awkwafina come up. I can remember her as seemingly this hip hop adjacent caricature a few years ago now she's a serious actor

It almost seemed like it was meant to happen. She was in that Bad Rap documentary a few years ago and she was the only Asian rapper in that with a film agent. Dumbfoundead even said that it was much easier to market female Asians than male Asians. Who knew how right he was going to be.
 
Man, I still need to see Once Upon A Time...

Is it actually a comedy and not a drama? Seems odd.
 
Joaquin Phoenix looked SO relieved.
He legit didn't think he was going to win.
He had the look and attitude of someone who feels like he has been screwed over before and DID NOT expect to win, tonight.
 
Seems like they are alwasy putting Leo's films into the COmedy Section
that's likely the category the studio chooses to submit them to.
His films are always more comical the dramatic
it's also easier to win in that category against other films that are viewed as true comedies and musicals
