Boston fans.....has Pearce hit third the entire time since the trade? If so, what is the logic in that? Obviously it works, but I dont understand why you would bat someone third if he is someone that you would take out of the game in favor of a pinch hitter every game.

He hasn't. He didn't really get consistent burn until that 3 run HR game against NY. Him batting like .425 vs. lefties combined with Moreland only being at about 75% because of his hamstring has given him more opportunities than he would have had otherwise. He's definitely made the most of it.
