2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

I get some people don't like them but I hate when people say they're fake. How do you figure they're fake? You also consider hender schemes fake?

The first thing that comes to mind when I see those is fake. Just a rip off an already used inspiration.

do your thing bro, I’m glad you like them and I ain’t mad at you :nthat:

my apologies if it came off like that.

Naw not at all I love hearing all opinions on a subject. That's why I asked.

Buddy of mine got some fake b and j in - he’s stoked on them. Not sure if I could do it though.

how is it any different than actual replicas?

someone taking material nike didn’t procure to make shoes that look like nike made them...
Nowhere does it say on the shoe thats its a nike tho and nowhere are they marketed as such other then "dunk" Its not a fake replica imo, its someone's spin on an iconic silhouette. Like I said before do you consider hender schemes fakes or replicas?

Not trying to pile on or anything, but This kinda makes the point on why I consider them “fake” . They are so on the nose of trying to look like a dunk. They phony gold box, the fake zoom insoles, the tongue tag. Aside from that they just aren’t executed well.

I'll agree to disagree but I respect your opinion. I just don't see them as fake. Inspired by actual nike product...sure but again there isn't any nike branding and its not a 1:1 replica of an existing colorway and was never marketed as a nike shoe or nike product. Also was never passed off as one.

@ats kicks here's some more pics.

ive been customizing as a hobby for almost 20 years and i appreciate the concept but i find the swoosh a lil gimmicky. Curious as to where/how he got his soles done w the initials

My MAIN hope is that this isnt his first and last custom, checking his IG it probably is

Looking at the Warren Lotas, number one, I'm just not a fan of the colorblocking, but that's 100% personal taste and opinion. I do look at them as fakes/bootlegs though. I view the Consolidated Drunk BSs the same way. I also view the 1985 Sangs the same way (though they have notoriety for being the fake of the Jordan 1, and having good quality aparently). They're literally made to look EXACTLY like a Dunk SB Low, except small changes are made to clearly avoid any copyright issues. The box color and look, format and arrangement of the box label, Swoosh on the shoe which is altered creatively (and just enough to again avoid copyright stuff), labeling on the shoe itself, etc. It's such a close copy that it's much more than "inspired by" in my book. As for the Hender Schemes, those are more like dress shoes IMO. The materials, build, laces, and the outsole, give them a weird dress shoe look. I'm not a fan at all, that's just how I view them.

At the end of the day though, to each his or her own. If I saw them in the wild, I'd probably stop whoever was wearing them and pick their brain about them. They're not for me, but if others like them, cool.

I def see what you're saying. I personally view fakes or replicas as something trying to be passed off as the real deal. Trying to fool people.
