Last years sale was ok, I know lots of people scooped up Fire sticks and stuff.

I'm only hyped for this because of the stock price. 

Gonna be hyped for no reason .. sale geared towards getting people to sign up for prime and forgetting about it after they use free 2 day shipping a few times. Things you want wont be on sale, may find some odd n ends type things or buying bulks of toilet paper or something

Don't believe the hype.

Lukewarm deals are basically all you'll get.  Fortunately for Amazon, most consumers aren't savvy enough to realize they're not getting a great deal.

There's some decent stuff if you're in the market for it. Feeling the Chromebook for $280? And some 27-34" monitor deals. Just not looking to spend on "wants" right now. I think you extra off if you have a Amazon card too.
