30 People Arrested For Food Stamp Fraud; Guess How Many Were Black?

It’s a common stereotype that food stamp recipients, and those who abuse it, are black, Hispanic, or any other race but white. According to the USDA  in their report for fiscal year 2013, 40% of recipients are white and 26% are black.

While the media and America’s culture will have you believe that black people (or anyone who isn’t white) account for copious amounts of fraud, there’s a story breaking that you won’t hear on Fox “News” anytime soon (or you might, because any chance to crush the SNAP program, they will take).

According to WCAX News  in New York:

More than 30 people have been nabbed for food stamp fraud in the North Country.

Investigators say over the past couple month’s people used their food stamps to get food or alcohol at the Old Time Butcher Block store in Brushton.

Police also say it’s not the first time the owner of that store, Dennis Sauve, has been charged with allowing such fraud.

Police say more arrests are expected.

Now here’s the kicker: they’re all white. Brushton, New York, where this bust happened, has a population of roughly 480 people. Approximately 99.83% of the population is white, and 0.42% are black. These demographics are eerily similar to the food stamp capital of the country, Owsley Country, Kentucky, which is 99.22% white and 95% Republican. Maybe we should investigate them.

I just wish we could get the political affiliations of those arrested in Brushton.

According to WPTZ News:

Police say the arrests are the result of a year-long investigation, initiated by the Franklin County Department of Social Services Fraud Unit. Franklin County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance helped with the investigation.

The store owner, Denis Sauve (also white), has been charged with third-degree grand larceny and misuse of food stamps.

This really isn’t a racial issue so much as it is an, “I told you so,” issue. While the food stamp program has one of the lowest rates of abuse  than any other welfare program, a lot of people buy into this misconception that it is the “lazy blacks” who account for all the fraud and woes of government assistance. Well, here we are, a major food stamp “bust” and every criminal involved is white.

It might be time to rethink today’ stereotypes.

It might be because Belgium, and perhaps Europe in general, is simply not as racist towards black people anymore.

There's very little I can think about where someone here would point the finger at black people.

If you would ask your question in my country the vast majority would say white. Fraud, pyramid schemes, ... here are commonly considered to be a "white people crime".

We also have foodstamps here and I honestly never hear any rude remarks about the stamps or the people who use them.

It's not so much a hate for the black players, it's hate for whichever team they don't support. Black players are just the easiest target because like you said throwing bananas at black players is much more hateful and disrespectful than throwing things at a random white player.

I go to the Ghent stadium occasionally and for every match no matter how small or big the entire area around the stadium is full of cops and each team has completely different entrances so supporters never see eachother outside of the stadium.

Soccer hooligans will literally kill people over which team they support. Simply saying "go (insert other team here)!!!" will get you escorted off the stadium immediately to prevent riots.

Tell me something that I didn't know of course there are more white people on welfare it's just that we've been brainwashed to attach welfare with a color as if you can't have one without the other.But I know better and if someone has traveled just a little bit like I have in America you will see the true color of welfare and it's not black the majority of the times because someone can live in a low income area doesn't mean their poor more so disenfranchised of the economic freedom to fail how many ever times and be able to recover from that failure.

I had a nter in a thread once mention something about how poor white people get ignored and I don't remember what my response was but I do know that that's far from the truth because there are government programs out there that helps/helped them as much or more to maintain whatever lifestyle their use too;I shocked to learn of one that helped inner city whites in the 1970's I believe escape the city for greener pasture in the surrounding suburbs and when the families couldn't afford that they moved further out which in turn created that tier between them,poor,middle class,upper middle class,rich and wealthy.

This was very helpful for farmers, who were almost always white and who had middle and upper incomes. The byproduct of these high price polices was that grocery bills were made artificially high for everyone and this created a particular hardship for poor people. That is why we decided to give very poor people vouchers for food.

For the last 40 years or so, Congress routinely appropriated money for SNAP benefits at the same time that it reauthorized assistance for farmers. Thanks to the Tea Party, this process is being disrupted. Since the Tea Party is allegedly terrified of the National Debt and excessive government spending, one would think they would go after welfare for farmers since welfare for farmers makes up the majority of the Farm Bill and cost tax payers far more than food stamps do.

Naturally, they gutted the SNAP/food stamps Portion because "freedom" and "the DEBT!" The real kicker is that many members of Congress and/or their immediate family members actually receive those welfare benefits for farmers. Of course, when affluent, white farmers get goodies from the government, it is not welfare. People like Joni "bread bags" Ernst and her family received "business incentives" for decades on her family's Iowa farm.

As we know the only people who receive welfare benefits are poor, lazy, shiftless nig-- um, inner city people, who have a culture of non work and poor impulse control. The next time you see someone using public assistance to buy groceries and you feel an upwelling of rage and indignation, try to redirect it towards the good folks out in the town of Skokabok, No Where. The folks who get paid for being being rural and white, you know "The Real Americans," need $100,000 every year in a way that poor families apparently do not need a couple $100 per month.
