What dies clearing your cache do?

Ritual for me.

Some say it does nothing and even slows down the process.

I can't say for sure it does anything because your cache actually stores images from pages visited on your hard drive so they can be accessed faster whether than found and downloaded when needed, etc.

I clear the cache, then log in to the site I want to grab from prior to release so that everything is loaded, then when I click the link to purchase, it's ready. Just me, just my thing.
