Air Jordan 2012 Second Edition (photoshop/re render) *black/silver + YOD + UNC up*

long time since I've done this!
Its not unusual for the yearly AJ release to get some flack, but the 2012 has had some hard criticism on looks and I had some ideas for a rework.

I don't think that taking inspiration from a dress shoe for a sports shoe is necessarily a bad thing... well this sums up my inspiration:

Very nicely done.  I am not too sure what the claim on performance is for the leather siding (maybe they say more support?).  But if they performed the same....i would def cop your version.  They look way better.

 Thanks! I'm not sure if the purpose of the original leather panelling is beyond visual, it might serve some protection for the flywire, but then they're putting out the 2012 Lite which has an all flywire upper.
I've kept the brogue style holes from the leather toe piece and transfered them onto the flywire, I'm not sure how this would function practically but I didn't get too concerned as its a visual rework more than anything.

Thankyou, yeah the visual parallels of the sole between the 2012 and the XI was something I noticed. It got me thinking to the IX - XII era of which the simplicity and sleak lines were certainly kept in mind when I did this.

wow very impressed wth you rework but with no leather on the sides theyre would be no integrity on the side panels
 
thanks jayzrdead, by integrity do you mean in a practical/performance sense? If so it is foremost a visual rework but there are other bball shoes out there with prodominantly flywire uppers/side panels.

i meant from a performance stand point.
