Wait... are Eastbay orders usually double-boxed? Mine wasn't and you could see the red Jumpman right through the tape between the top box flaps! There was no bubble wrap/air bags or even paper to keep the shoe box from banging/sliding around the shipping box... How are your shoes usually shipped from Eastbay????
My Sole Heaven pair arrived on Monday afternoon. Here are a handful of pics. Im gonna upload a couple videos too.
Notice in the second to last picture...I thought it was weird how much shorter the laces are then the other ivs. I had a hard time lacing them loose enough to actually still be able to tie a standard knot.
Really? One more thing to talk to them about... Thanks man. Most every Jordan Retro order I've received from BeastBay over the years has come double boxed, especially the multiple pair orders. But whenever I order something on Sale, or some clearance Lebrons etc, they ship them to me in a bag. Box all busted like a Las Vegas Escort
I work for an e-commerce company that uses FedEx and UPS for deliveries. UPS packages come up "missing" waaaaay more than FedEx. What sucks is these shoes can't be replaced if it is a popular release. So a refund isn't actually what we want. But what can ya do....
My shoes are missing. I get home from work and check the tracking on my shoes and ups said item was left by my door WTF. Nice pics. These 3 4's were the only 3 I bothered picking up or should I say 'kept' this year. The white so called leather on the Fire Reds and White Cements was straight HORRIBLE! Sold my white cements after the first 2 wears..the leather was straight fugazi and I never took to that darker cement grey. It was just way too 'off' to me and didn't look right.
The average customer that comes in looking at better shoes such as Free Run's and Lunarglides (Lunarglides are prolly the best out) will be much more important. Sneakerheads only give us a few sales, we can reach our daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals without those sales. Also at FNL we need to sell to 20% of the population that walks in. Theres literally hypebeast that walk in asking if we know where they can get space jams and other sneakers from years passed. We don't need them messing up our conversion. If it was a smaller population of sneakerheads than it would be better due to the simple fact that there would be less unnecessary traffic, less people buying Jordan's, more pairs available AFTER release date.
A customer will spend on average $10,000 in ONE store in their lifetime. On a more personal level, I have customers who have spent $50 this year, but more often they keep coming back and its safe to say at our store that these non sneakerheads have spent somewhere around $250-$400 with no more than 15 min visits.
It always cracks me up when sneaker employees complain. Sneakerheads or not, it's YOUR JOB. It doesn't matter how many calls u get, or how much traffic sneakerheads bring in. The bottomline, it's your job. If u don't like answering 50 calls from sneakerheads, get a different job. You work in shoes, that's what u signed up for.
Not sure how those companies do things but a lot of companies will leave that to be between you and the delivery company, unfortunately. I've had this happen to me and my only recourse was through my credit card company. They had some type or protection plan.if your shoes get stolen after the UPS or FED EX leave the shoes by your door, do Eastbay, nikestore or whoever you order from REFUND you back? or your just SOL?
Damn sorry to hear that man. Anything that doesn't require a signature is sometimes a greenlight for a driver to act up. Depending on your area the driver may have GPS on his truck. If you're lucky he never even came near your house and his office should be able to investigate his whereabouts today. Good luck homie.
How DO you REQUEST a SIGNATURE?U ARE CORRECT,HOMIE. REALLY THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO TO COMBAT THIS HAPPENING IS TO MAKE SURE U REQUEST A SIGNATURE DELIVERY FROM WHOEVER YOU ORDER FROM. IF NOT, THE UPS DRIVER WILL LIKELY JUST LEAVE THE PACKAGE AT THE DOOR, LEAVING YOU UTTERLY HELPLESS TO LURKERS AND OTHER POSSIBLE SHADY DEALINGS FROM SUSPECT UPS EMPLOYEES. I ALWAYS REQUEST THIS WHEN I ORDER SHOES. HOPE THIS HELPS. HOLLA...

That's good to know about Eastbay! Does anyone know if the $40 "platinum membership" includes customer service?Eastbay is the worst! They wont help you and when you file a chargeback on your credit card, they red flag your address and you cannot order from any of their sites.
UPS is by far the worst. They hire nothing but eses and goons and they know names of shoe retailers and can google a RD to see if its something popular and just snatch the package.
I've heard stories bout drivers with GPS taking lunch near their houses so they can unload their lost and found packages and then come back to the truck.
