Sigh 9's are my shoe but they don't have much variance in them.

I haven’t rocked a 9 since the 2002 white black red.... feel like maybe grabbing these. School me on what’s changed? Besides the heel jumpman

The Jumpman size is THE deal to me. I would deal with their shape and material differences all day. They know sure as hell if they shrunk the NIKE AIR font on the back of 3s and 4s to half the size its supposed to be, they would have serious backlash. Unless someone can tell me different the 9 is the only Jordan that has a reduced size Jumpman from its original. Just pisses me off.

I mean look at any Jordan you can think of and imagine a smaller JM in the normal area of that shoe. It changes that whole look to me. Its garbage to think with ALL the 9s they continue to pump out, that they never think to make a simple easy change back to what it should be.
Not hearing that mold expense **** either. Its Nike, they can afford it.

Appreciate that big dog. Why did they reverse the jumpman? When did that start? Also curious about the 11 reverse jumpman story

For the 9 it was around 2010. Between the Carolina and charcoal I believe.
For the xi , I believe it was the cdp.

As far as the story to why, they simply wanted every Jumpman on every shoe to match the direction of the original poster. As you know, that just don't work with the design flow of all models.

The DMP XI had the first backwards Jumpman, if I recall.

I'm with you guys, there's no logic as to why they'd make such a change, although if I could change one thing on the current IX, I would soften the damn midsoles

I remember my 2002 white Black reds were not all that comfy but after breaking them in they weren’t too shabby.
