How do you obtain jays for days without paying resell?

Some people know how to cop for retail. I don’t shoot for off whites, travs or the insanely hyped collabs. If I miss on certain releases I wait until I can cop a used pair at a discounted price or I pass all together. Also living in NY helps doing meet ups outside of paying StockX and goats fees. Since everyone gravitate to hype these days, og colorways get passed over. Not to mention I make my own customs.

Lol I didn’t take it heart, I just flexed a little. Of I did the grape custom the first day I got them after release(they sat for like a month online)

Cream/sail laces are what I am going to do eventually. Just threw these on since I had them laying around(previously used on my royals which tbh I thought looked obnoxious with them on)

Decided to fix the toe on these. The stock toe is actually the best it’s been on the 85 ahi retros but I made it that much better. Quick 2-3 minute fix made these even better!!

The whole ironing the toe box thing: Doesn't it eventually go back to normal form? You gotta keep ironing them every so often to keep the shape, correct?

I use the old school plastic shoe trees that you can adjust the amount of stretch on. Same result and no ironing needed.

No. I’ve don’t pairs 10 years ago that still have the perfect slanted toe, but I also use shoe trees that helps keep the shape for sure. I’ve always only done it once.

Ya I did that on my neutrals and the shape is just as good as these now. But I figured I would try it as I’ve done it in the past and loved the outcome, simple and effective if you want that look quickly.

I keep going back and forth on grabbing a pair of neutral grays.. Really wish I woulda hit a pair for retail, I really like em but just not quite worth resale prices.
