Comparison between '23 & '12.
Most notable difference is shape, and '23 material used on uppers is thicker than nubuck on '12 .
2nd biggest difference is the yellow strip along the lace holders, 3rd is air jordan patch on back of tongue. Also theres way more padding inside 2023 vs's 2012.
Subtle differences is the shade of yellow on waffle tabs , tongue liner, midsoles & behind netting..

I bought these with EA just because I had it and thought maybe I would sell them. Now that I have them in hand I might just keep them. This is my first pair of 4's. I don't really have a ton of outfits that fit with them but the yellow just pops. My local soccer team is black and yellow so maybe I just wear them with my Crew jersey.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Getting a size 13 on 4s has been a challenge since they have become the "hot" model. Was able to secure the last 13 on the list this morning when they opened. My 2012 or whatever year pair the paint is cracked to oblivion so I'm looking forward to these.
