Eh it was cool.

Still hoping to get a legit live action movie one day based on the comic books. Make it a 3 part series and do it like this...

Books 1 & 2 = First movie

Books 3 & 4 = Second movie

Books 5 & 6 = Third/final movie

Having an all white cast and moving the story to NY was just disrespectful though, glad that movie fell through.

But then again at the same time, if Japanese people don't want their characters to be played by white people then they need to tell their artists to stop drawing them as such. Kaneda, Kei, Tetsuo and em, and the general ain't exactly look Caucasian but they damn sure didn't look fully Japanese.

The 1988 one was so epic and to this day so beautifully animated I dont think they should make a live one. Its like if 25 years from now they made a live action up or something like that.
Leave it alone michael bay.

I got no doubts the Akira movie WB wants to make would just be like I, Robot or Tron: Legacy.

Not every classic needs to be remade and not every animated movie/show needs a live action adaptation.
