Amar'e Stoudemire is overrated.

i tought u watched the games but no u just rely on the boxscores, Chandler is our starting PF. A PF guards the other teams PF.

Anyone think a trade for Melo would screw up the chemistry? I'm thinking they'd have to give up 2 of the three between Gallo/Fields/Chandler if they did then the bench would be horrible. Just wait it out for next season

exactly why i think that trade will still keep them in the 7th spot at most 6th. Much of the knicks success has come from Amara dominating the rock and with Melo they would have to share n cause a hitch n the offense...at least for a while

if we put Amare at the 4 then Timofey Mozgov would be our center. Were not winning to many games that way.

Amare isn't overrated, nor underrated. He's pretty much what he's always been. He's still arguably the most efficient scorer in the league, like he has been with the Suns. He's still a 6-10 athletic freak who barely averages 9 rebounds, like he has been with the Suns. But right now he is playing for the team with by far the most inflated stats in the league.

One thing he definitely proved this year is that he doesn't need Nash, a claim made by idiots who apparently don't know that Amare played without Nash his first two years and averaged 20.

Someone please explain to me how Bosh > Amar'e

Put Amare on the Heat and put Bosh on the Knicks and it won't have to be explained. It will be self evident. Not that Bosh is better, but that one will seem better than the other depending on what team they play for. Much like all kinds of ridiculous claims can be made about Raymond Felton now (that he's part of the best 1-2 punch in the league
laugh.gif
), whereas last year, people would've put you on their ignore list if you even said that the dude was even capable of being a part of the best 1-2 combo in the league. But hey, only on the Knicks.
Bingo. Fans really forget that systems do exist in the sports and certain teams with good coaching will have almost any decent player flourish.

Amare has led a very mediocre Knicks squad to an 18-12 start while averaging 26 ppg.

Bosh played on a couple of Raptor teams better than this year's Knicks and yet he never elevated the Raptors as much as Amare has elevated the Knicks.

Yeah, Bosh is more talented but talent isnt everything. I'm not 100% but I cant recall Bosh ever leading the Raptors to a 18-12 start.

What are you talking about? What did you say have anything to do with Amare? Chandler is our PF. Not our SF. If you were aware of that how is Amare even part of what you're saying? What does Wilson guarding Bosh have to do with anything? Who are you actually calling pathetic? I swear you think you drop knowledge but all you do is look at and post numbers. That's it. A monkey can post what you post.

Knicks are def not a mediocre squad though, they have smoe talented young guys and just needed a leader (which is what Ive preached the past few years).

I thought they were a 35 win team coming into the season, but while it is still early in the season they sure have proven me wrong.

Depends how you have him rated.
Amare is a big man who will give you 25ppg with above average outside shooting out to like 18ft. When he's on he's virtually "unguardable" because of his size when he wants to shoot from from  beyond 7ft.

the 47 win raptor team, with Garbo, Nestorvic's reanimated corpse Anthony and TJ Ford.

are any one of those guys better than Landry Fields, Wilson Chandler, Ray Felton, and Danilo Gallinari?
laugh.gif

These Knicks are good, it's not like it's an amare one man show, stop exaggerating.

Dude, you thought they were gonna be a 35-win team because of the talent level on the team (very mediocre)
laugh.gif

Outside of Amare they are average at 4 positions. The team stats are inflated thanks to D'Antoni but Amare is leading this mediocre bunch to a better record than all of us expected. You put Bosh in this system and the Knicks would be a .500 team (at best).

The Raptors last season had more talent than this year's Knicks and yet Amare has led a weaker team to a better start than Bosh did as a Raptor.

That 47-win Raptors team was in probably the worst division in NBA history (and when the East was VERY weak).
