Come to UCI and register to be part of the National Marrow Donor Program registry!
Because ethnicity is a determining factor in finding a match, patients will most likely find a donor within their racial and ethnic community. Yet less than 7%of the 6 million donors in the national registry are of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. Diversifying the registry will improve the chances of patientsfinding a match. Make a difference and join the registry difference, you have the possibility of saving a life.
All we're doing at UCI is having you fill out paper work and doing a quick swab of the mouth.
For more info, visit http://www.asianmarrow.org.
We'll be on campus Wednesday and Thursday 10:00am-4:00pm both days on ring road near the Student Center. We'll have a booth open and we'll beflyering so you can't miss us.
