I've noticed quite an uptick with the popularity of NBA(basketball) for the past 10 years or so....
Not just on social media, but in corporate advertising, marketing, and in playgrounds everywhere...seems like more and more kids are getting into basketball these days (those ones actually engaged in athletics at least)
With all the bad press, safety risks/issues, long term-health and negative connotation the NFL has been receiving lately, are we seeing a shift?
I mean I think it's pretty unanimous that the MLB is in its darkest days (many purists say "dying")
It seems the NBA can do no wrong at this point, the game has rapidly expanded into a universal language and with positive press and very likeable/marketable superstars/role models leading the charge, I feel a shift.....
Anyone else feel this way?
Anyone have any data to back this up?
discuss...
