Best laptop that's NOT a MacBook?

What's good y'all? Anyone have any good suggestions on a good laptop ? I really want a MacBook but low on the cash . Any feedback would be appreciated!

You are correct. I have 2 Asus laptops and I'm really happy with them, they're built like tanks.  I've had my smaller one for 5 years and it's still running smooth.

Might be out of your price range. But you're looking for a high spec labtap, take a look Sager. 

My friend ending getting one while back. Spec wise, its pretty cheap compare to the other labtop brands

Got 1 of each and you can't go wrong with either one..I prefer my Vaio because it's lighter and has illuminated keyboard..But the Asus is damn near indestructible..And you can get a really good one for under your budget..
