Wheres a good hotel ON THE STRIP, that's not too expensive to stay at (<$120 a night)? Cheapest one I've found was a motel6 for $90. Would youguys recommend getting a hotel rather than a motel, and whats the best site for hotel rates?

Also, when making reservations would it be best to reserve the room for 1 adult rather than 2, even though it'll be about 4-5 of us? Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for CHEAP on the strip, check out the Imperial palace. The cheapest rates are usually Sunday - Wednesday, since everybody leaves onSunday afternoon. Also, check out Tropicana, and Hooters, though Hooters is like a 3 minute walk from the strip (Right next to Tropicana on an oppositestreet). Even the Riviera and Circus and Circus has good rates.

If you're looking for one near some spots, Imperial Palace is right across from the Caesars forum where Niketown is. Tropicana is one block away from theAdidas shop.

If you really want CHEAP CHEAP places, look for downtown Vegas spots like El Cortez and the Plaza Hotel. Main Street Station is higher in quality, but stillgood prices.

You can stay at a lot of places under that rate, as a lot of them have specials. But once you start doing the weekend thing, expect to pay from that range youwanted to stay under.

^Thank you! Im looking for a spot on the strip, so Ill look into Imperial Palace.

BTW, whats the best website for vegas hotels other than VEGAS.com?

I would just go to imperialpalace.com or go to Expedia or even Orbitz.com. Good luck and enjoy.

this is for hotels.com...should help you out a little bit. and they have a price matching guarantee

^thanks for the code, but it won't work for the hotels i'm looking at.

anyone know of some promos for Caesars, Bellagio, or PH?

Those places don't necessarily need to give discounts. If that's the level you want, expect to pay more than your budget.

electricbamboo pretty much nailed it.
Those are the best bang for that kind of buck, but you are going to get what you paid for.
I have some female friends that might find Imperial Palace and Tropicana just short of disgusting,
however if this is of no inconvienence to you and your just looking for a cheap place to kick it with some homies then why not?
I usually settle for NYNY because while its a bit more expensive than Imperial palace, its also a lot nicer but not as extravagant as a Bellagio etc.
But even NYNY is starting to go downhill IMO.
A lot of places have great promotions going on during the Summer months.
Its a slow time in Vegas and its pretty easy to catch a great rate.
You may want to check out the hotel/casinos actual websites under 'promotions'.
I once caught a great deal at Bellagio like that, but nothing near what your suggesting.
You also might want to check out a business class hotel like Courtyard by Marriot, for a cheap and clean room (maybe even free breakfast and wi-fi)
but I doubt there is one on the strip.

edit: I think you can reserve the room for 2 adults with out paying any additional charges. And this way you dont get looked at funny when you ask for twodouble/queen beds instead of a single king/queen. Most hotels dont really care as long as you dont cause a ruckus. If I party too loud and they come to my roomI just tell them that we won a bunch of money down stairs and are celebrating.

theres either a motel 6 or motel 8 thats like.. 30 seconds away from the strip on tropicana. i think its like.. $40 or $50 per night. you could catch the busor cab and be ON the strip in like 5 minutes.

If you do go Imperial palace, go for the deluxe rooms, since they're like only $20 bucks more.

Maybe the next time I hit Vegas I'll check out NYNY before it goes downhill. I think this summer there will be a good amount of deals thanks to everythinggoing up especially gas and airfare.
