Notice he didn't even offer a rebuttal or give his interpretation of what you posted. He went straight to the classic NT "let me try to be funny and post a gif since I have nothing constructive to add" trick.

This video highlights some real problems but i like the way it ended and shows that respectful disagreements are possible btwn young black men.

The thing that struck me is how homie is giving them game and they callin it corny this corny that :smh:. people have got to be open to making moves outside of entertainment for us to really prosper.

Either way like people have said, this a thread for prosperity and moving us forward, no need to focus on the differences. @BlackIntellect  If you feel like I back handed some Jew you're cool with, that wasn't the case. Just dropping info in here for people who want it. The fact of the matter is that the society we live in is founded upon white supremacy. So much so that when the truth is finally revealed it's going to be offensive to a lot of people when they realize their whole lives were built on lies. Our people are used to being at the bottom so it makes no difference to us.

Something to think about for these group chats, maybe we can bring in pieces of literature/movies/documentaries that we can discuss that way we all have an equal field of knowledge to build on. Also with am1 antics yesterday this kinda got brushed over:

Since English has came about white supremacy is constantly flipping words, given them split meanings etc.

In spanish white is blanco, which is where you get blank from in english. Blank because the melanin deficiency or w/e

The word has been took, flipped, and put on us and now we refer to ourselves as black which essentially means a being that lacks (b-lack) something (in this case melanin)

In most parts of the world anything referring to us usually had variations of moor- , negro-, or mel-  in the root word.

Just an idea but maybe a thread update with melanated culture discussion thread would be more appropriate.

I just stumbled upon this video of Caroline White while doing research on the Geechee Gullah people. I love her spirit and she reminds me a lot of my elders so I decided to post it. I loves how she continually gives reverence to her ancestors who fought and worked hard to get her to where she is. Historically, the Gullah region extended from the Cape Fear area on the coast of North Carolina south to the vicinity of Jacksonville on the coast of Florida so they have had a big impact of African American/Black culture here in America. Hope y'all enjoy her as much as I did.






Because of a period of relative isolation in rural areas, the Gullah developed a culture that has preserved much of their African linguistic and cultural heritage from various peoples, as well as absorbing new influences from the region. They speak an English-based creole language containing many African loanwords and influenced by African languages in grammar and sentence structure. Properly referred to as "Sea Island Creole," the Gullah language is related to Jamaican Patois, Barbadian Dialect, Bahamian Dialect, Trinidadian Creole, Belizean Creole and the Krio language of Sierra Leone in West Africa. Gullah story-telling, rice-based cuisine, music, folk beliefs, crafts, farming, and fishing traditions all exhibit strong influences from West and Central African cultures.

Just stumbled upon a brand name Ikire Jones, by a man named Walé Oyéjidé. His clothing is described as a menswear company that marries African aesthetics with Neapolitan tailoring. His collection is small. That may or may not change in the near future, but I thought I should throw his name out there. I'm not tossing his name out there for the sake embracing African clothing. Rather, I'm bringing him up because there's not too many of us in the high end designer market, and I'm tired of us buying from companies who have no respect for us.

Our people are beautiful inside and out.
I went to Nairobi in '05 and I cried like a baby one day on the way back to our hotel.
I truly felt at home when I was there.

Thanks for showing how much you don't know. It's already been discussed in here how after dynastic Kemit fell they migrated to other parts of Africa bringing their culture and traditions with them.

Dudes are quick to say that we have no ties to Egypt but have really never stepped back and asked themselves where the people of Kemit went? Why is there pyramids all over Africa, shoot the world for that matter?

And for the record african people have always believed in one god. Because Europeans lack the capacity to interpret what we say and why we say it is not our fault.

Just wanted to correct your scholarship...

The word Israel is from the Greek translation of Hebrew yisra'el, which means"he that striveth with God". Its basically a Semetic word from the Afro-Asiatic language tree.

Isis is a the Indo-European/Greek name for the goddess "Auset" or "Iset" which has no ties to the Hebrew language tree.

The point is that is a poor way to transliterate the word Israel. You wouldn't use words from different time periods and cultural traditions and throw them together in the English language like that. Just like how a lot of 5%ers wrongly teach that ALLAH means Arm, Leg, Leg, Arm, Head. It's kind of a pseudo way to go about etymology and linguistics.

But at the end of the day we can disagree. As long as we keep things civil and intellectual.

Phonetically even in the hebrew language you're still getting the same sounds that suggest the combination of a masculine and feminine energy produce god (el-ohim)

Either way i agree with what you're saying. There's no problem with disagreeing. Just wish if people were gonna disagree they'd bring something to the table that allows everyone to learn so we're not relaying bad info. Like you said I've seen the Allah thing happen on many occasions.

Just to summarize what you did, you implied that the connections i made may be correct but you really dont know so you went ahead and posted some pictures from west africa thinking I wouldnt know where they came from. Funny thing is if you talk to the Dogon and read any of the books out there they'll tell you they got the culture from ancient Kemet. If you truly study the culture in west Africa you'll see that it all has connections to east Africa. 

And when you stop thinking in a fractal mindset like yours you'll see that everything from stonehedge. the nazca lines, and the pyramids are connected.

So no im not pushing no BS christian mindset. I know my ancestors were smart enough to leave stories behind for people who had the intuition to break the code. If you wanna delegate black people of america to just one side of africa thats your choice. I know we are a global people and all this history is ours if you dig deep enough. Go watch hidden colors or something im done with you to man.
 
I don't know much African history, seeing as how I haven't finished  with my journey through American history. With that being said, I may sound ignorant on the matter. But how is so much of the history known if a lot of it wasn't written down?
