I really hope there aren't people who think this is some kind of ideological solidarity signal from Burger King.

It seem like with all these current social justice trends, people get so wrapped up in their cause that they don't even realize they're being exploited. I seriously doubt burger king truly cares about gays one way or the other, but just see a target customer group that consistently makes decisions based on this issue.
