Can someone explain to me why a girl is considered "tainted" when she dates a black dude but not the

op want's to know why some dudes get mad when a white chick dates a black dude? well..

We all know the biggest stereotype with any human in the world is 'Black man is huge' thing. It scares and intimidates men of a lot of other races, yes some of them are insecure but some truly don't feel they can compete brotha when it comes to the sack. I blame these damn porn movies or just society in general for having everyone believe every black dude is a big as a soda bottle or some sh##. Black masculinity in general has always been scary and intimidating to many.

The reaction by dudes of other races is all about THEIR insecurities and nothing else.
He went there! Well said though. I think it all boils down to media promoted penis envy.

Some of y'all are acting like racism and stereotypes didn't exist until WSHH. Blacks have ALWAYS been looked at as a lower class in the country since it began. You could delete every WSHH video, cancel all the Love & Hip-Hop shows, and have every black man where his pants at his belly-button and we'd STILL be considered a lower class.

In addition it's also the fear of the unknown. We're viewed as bigger, stronger, more athletic (not saying its true) since slavery. Because of such when a white woman dates a black dude some (ignorant) white men feel like A.) She "dated down." and/or B.) She must've been power smashed by NFL LineBacker sized dude, who's johnson was a footlong so her vagina must be in shambles.

For the record there are PLENTY OF examples of black men doing well, people (of all races) just choose to ignore them, because that's not newsworthy. Nobody will talk about the fact there's the same percentage of Black Men in college in relative to the entire black male population as their is white men, but any negative statistic is front page news.
Negatives are front page news because that's all people want and everything else is a fluff piece. Its like why people love Maury because its peoples crappy lives. I used WSHH as a example of where the videos and a small bit of the stereotyping come from. If everyone deleted the videos and stopped that stereotypes then once the baby boomers die with the old timely racism then I'm sure the lower class image would die. Though their will always be a racist or two. Human nature means hating different sometimes

ALSO Why is everyone turning this into a penis size thread?

I'm missing your point...

Of course there's dirt bag ivy leaguers. There are dirt bag every bodies...

I'm saying when you see dirt bag ivy leaguers... You don't see another ivy leaguers and assume theyre dirt bags... (Not you but society)

In society... They see one dirt bag black person...

They see another black person and assume he's a dirt bag too.
You where saying that the maroons are the only ones that live up to the stereotypes.  Is what I took from your statement.  Which isn't true.  They aren't a bunch of racist, hooch drinking, cousin F'n ******s, etc.  I've know some very cool, genuinely kind, and very smart necks that know a lot about a lot.

But to address what you've said here.^^

It's not they see a black person per say.

It's more of they see a black person dressed a certain way or driving a certain kind of car.  Don't get me wrong you have those out there that see the color of the skin and base their opinion of you off just that.

But then you've got those that want to try and look pass your skin color, but they want you dressed a certain way, talking certain way, and walking a certain way.

As an American society where all guilty of wanting a certain type of visual in order to trust.  Like goth kids.  You see the way they dress and you automatically get this negative perception in your head about them.  Yet they haven't spoken two words to you.  But if you saw them in a nice short sleeve button down, with some khakis, and a backpack you think well rounded individual.

Where a society hell bent on the outer appearance.

Negativity sells. My father is in the newspaper business and An old slogan they used to use was if it bleeds it reads. People love to hear about crazy car accidents and fights versus regular news.

Us black men are making reparations for Emmitt Till and throwing it in the face of Caucasians by nutting in their womenz.

this was such a stupid statement, i dont even know where to begin

its not a society thing, its natural for people to judge a book by its cover. if i was walking down a street alone at night i will be more alert when walking by a white hobo as opposed to a white guy that is dressed nicely. yeah its true that  people are ignorant and write off black people while just looking at their skin color thats something that will slowly change for the better as time goes on. but people will always judge based on how others present themselves.

But that's my point.  Your see a hobo, and negativity automatically pops in your head.  You have no clue what life threw at him, and how he got to that point.  He could have a golden personality, and you would never even know.

All the while that nicely dressed guy could've just come from drugging and raping some female, and now he's headed to the house to fap to his kiddy porn collection.

I talk to everybody bums, nut cases, winos, addicts, etc.  You never know what you can take away from a random conversation.

Because black people are/will be viewed as a lower class

I, personally refuse to accept that and will continue to sleep with white womenz til the end...hope I die mid stroke in a white womenz... I'm talking blonde hair blue eyed pop singing, clueless loving, jeep driving white womenz...while looking a black girl In her eyes throwing up the black power fist, rocking a dashiki Malcolm x shirt with a kufi on and a piece of fried chicken clinched by my black glove and an African medallion round my kneck...perfection.

+1

oh, well that's where we're missing each other.

i'm not saying that they're the only ones. i'm comparing the maroons to the black people...

negative marron characteristics are put to every maroon... even though my teacher is a maroon and worked on wall street for 20 years.

people think he's dumb b/c of how he talks and the fact that he likes horses... they lump him in with the rest of the rednecks that they see on tv...

same thing happens w/ black people. they see the negative and lump them in...

the difference is w/ maroon folks... it stops there... it doesnt spill over into ivy leaguers or construction workers. its strictly for the maroons.

the point i'm getting at is that, like knowledge said... "look at those INDIVIDUALS"...

instead of look at "those people" when thjey talk about the black people.

Raphs on raphs on raphs!

So many damn words in this thread it dont make sense...

I totally agree with this.  In a perfect world this is what it should be.  Unfortunately we live in a imperfect world and this is how it is for some of us.

^ No matter what you TYPE, when you walk past a person their skin color, dress, weight, sex, everything about them determines how much your antennas are up. Sounds noble to, "Not preJUDGE" but that is impossible with the human mind. You form an opinion on what you see based on the information available to you. If you can only see a person, you will form an opinion from that alone.

It's not impossible.  It's just based off how you came up through life.  If I got the time I'll chop it up with anybody.  Like I said before you never know what you can take from a random interaction.  I look at everyone as angels sent here from God to teach me valuable life lessons.  Whether it be a negative or a positive interaction theres something to be learned.

It is what it is...my ancestors were enslaved by your people and now they're trying to damn near erase it outta American history in public schools....

Blonde hair blued eyed Jesus gave y'all forgiveness tho

The geniuses behind the one drop rule LOL and the ones who throw racist remarks towards Obama even tho he's half WHITE

**** weird
"My people" are Irish immigrants who weren't even in America at the time of slavery lol.. Keep thinking the world owes you something though
thats the problem with a lot of people who have the balls to argue their racially prejudice viewpoints against blacks (no you dont get points for being honest/vocal about it lol)

unless i missed something, no where in Mr Marcus' quote did he even hint at reparations/compensation for his ancestors enslavement so why would you even mention the world owes him something???

you just dismissed a very real problem with a very ignorant accusation

honestly the only way the whole race issue is going to be settle is if people follow a true assessment process, many people feel like admitting their feelings towards blacks is enough, very few go so far as to acknowledge that it is actually wrong, and barely any decide to fix it

but ive already had too many discussions/arguments with actual self-proclaimed racists to know that not many people will change their minds until something extremely traumatic happens

I hate people act like they don't prejudge; for good or for bad. It's a survival tactic, you see ten dudes with red hats and blue shoes, next dude you see with a red hat, you'll 'prejudge' (assume) he's wearing blue shoes.

People pretending like they 'don't see race' are clearly forcing themselves into a over liberalized box. You mean to tell me you don't see this dude has pale skin and the next dude has bronze skin? That's ridiculous. It's what you do with it that matters. You might not assume he's up to no good, maybe you assume he can play ball, or he is poetic, either wAy, you assume something about the next man, to say you don't is to hold yourself above basic human evolution, which is arrogant.

the solution is not to get people to stop stereotyping because that's impossible for the human mind to do. the solution is to somehow get people to stereotype minorities in a positive way rather than negative

You didn't understand what I said.

I never said that you couldn't put aside those prejudices and talk/spend time with someone. I am simply saying that as a human being, it is mentally impossible to look at someone and not form an opinion based on physical appearance. Anytime you look at any person for the first time, SOMETHING pops up in your mind. There is no escaping that, I don't care if Mother Theresa and the Dali Lama are your parents

True dat.  It's that lack of optimism that really clogs up and stops potentially great interactions.  I can't deny tho that the first thing that pops up in my head when I met new people is negativity, but I don't let that kill my optimism most of the time.
