While that makes sense, every man isn't the same. Everyone copes differently. With that said, I look forward to him rapping again on his majorlabel album this summer.Originally Posted by DearWinter219

...Which isn't a measure of talent in the least bit; just popular opinion.
Yes, I think Kanye's music is on a downward spiral.

Damn....I can relate, but also... I rapped about losing my mother because uh...well... I'm a rapper. That's what we do. So I feel bad for Kanye as a man, but as a rapper, I'm ashamed of the choices he's been making
True. True. I just hope he comes correct with the new-new cuz I wasn't that fond of Graduation either.Originally Posted by HypeBeast McStreetwear

imo I just think he's ahead of his time and 808s & Heartbreak will be appreciated in the future.
And isn't it the point to be yourself and not do what other people want to do?
I see what he's tryin to do... I don't think he fell off.... he jumped off into his own lane and is doing him....if you don't like it don't listen... he said it himself that he wishes he had less fans in the new Vibe Mag

Yea i agree. He hasn't fallen off but with all this stuff he has been doing recently like saying he wants to do a bi-sexual porno isdefinitely gonna lead people to think different about him and saying he has fallen off . He just needs to go back to normalOriginally Posted by vctry20

Well, this is how I think about it...we mostly heard reviews from the Hip-Hop community, but I haven't heard the reviews from the "Pop Art" crowd who have been make music like that for years cause you cAn't stray that far away from your initial audience (hip-hop) and not expect backlash. A success however as far as thinking out of the box was Late Registration. He channeled that Trip-hop sound via Jon Brion and it was dope as ***@. Ye need to remember his initial audience and recognize that sound a lil better. I liked 808s but Im not bout to act like I don't understand why no one else liked it

I see what you saying, Hype. But at the same time he is trying to expand his fanbase and familiarize people that dont listen to his music, or even hip-hop for that matter, to broaden their horizons. Im sure he felt that his solid hip-hop fans were ready and eager for him to push the envolope and bring yet again, a whole new sound to the table. I feel like the true hip-hop heads shouldnt be that upset because parallel to 808s, he also put out stuff like Swagga Like Us, Go Hard, and produced for other hip-hop artist. He aint lost his touch.

The beats on "808s & Heartbreak" do go hard, but I prefer his sample based productions. His first 3 albums, Common's "Be" & "Finding Forever", and all the other old tracks he did before he was in the limelight.
He can still do it, and I'm sure he will again.
