I'm still laughing at that list
Klay is a really good defender he had to pick up all of Curry's slack, but his presence doesn't make the rest of the defense that much better.
Paul George came out of left field
CP3 is good in his one on one match ups, he gets exposed from time to time.
KD improved as a defender but better than Lebron?
None of these players are better defenders than Lebron.
If you can guard 5 positions on the floor you are an elite defender. People are just mad he doesn't play with the same intensity on defense during the regular season. If i was guaranteed a place into the playoffs in a weak *** conference, I wouldn't be trying that hard either.
His defense in important games >>>>>
Are you serious?
Dude shut up. If you aren't trolling, that may have been the worst basketball comment I've ever read on NT ever. You can't compare steph curry to Jordan Crawford or 15'-16' Kobe and have anything valid to say after that.
If you make 45% of your 3's on high volume, it doesn't matter if they're good or bad shots. The end. They are only bad if they don't go in. They didn't. (Even in the finals he shot 40% from 3)
Right. Lebron wasn't getting cooked like Curry.Man the only place curry is as good or better than lebron defensively is analytic land

Nobody arguing about that. He himself would tell you the same. 2014 Lebron was better than 2012 Lebron.MAANNN, I've said multiple times that Miami Lebron >>>>>>>>> Cleveland Lebron and it's not even close and nobody wants to hear it.
Who Lebron gets cooked by?I repeat, just wondering, on a nightly basis, who is lebron typically tasked with guarding especially when playing eastern conference teams? and is he constantly running thru picks to chase down his man or constantly forced to go over screens?

Fact still remains that this is his League. He owns it.

LeBron held MVP Derrick Rose to 9% shooting in the plays where he guarded him in the 2011 Eastern Conference Finals.
He completely neutralized Paul George in game 7 of the 2013 ECF and held him to 7 points on 2-9 shooting in 34 minutes.
He also neutralized Tony Parker in games 6 and 7 of the 2013 NBA finals:
Game 6: 19 points on 6-23 shooting
Game 7: 10 points on 3-12 shooting
Parker averaged 20.3 on .522 shooting that season and was all-NBA 2nd team.
LeBron has a very solid defensive resume. The highlights being coming in second twice in defensive player of the year voting and once leading all players in votes for all defensive teams. His advanced defensive stats throughout his career have been very solid. For example, he was 4th among all players in this year's playoffs in defensive box plus/minus. Overall, he's not a Pippen or a Kawhi Leonard in the history of the defensive small forwards, but he's in the tier right below.
The fact that you think that you can somehow make them about equal defenders by putting them in the same sentence is comical. One has two 2nd place finishes in DPOY voting, while the other has zero defensive credentials whatsoever. But yeah, they're right about equal defensively. But when we use these same numbers for Steph Curry...who absolutely shut down Russell Westbrook when he guarded him in the WCF....or show his good defense all season...y'all throw it out the window.
You dudes want it both ways to fit your narrative. That is the problem.
Bron and Steph are above average defenders. They don't always lock down their man or have to stick the opposing best perimeter player...and that's ok. Because basketball is about TEAM DEFENSE...which they both are good at.
Dudes are shooting themselves in the foot right and left when they try to discredit one player for another. These are two of the top 2 or 3 players in the league. Both have multiple MVPs and a championship to their names.
It's fun to hate on Bron and hate on Steph. I won't argue the comedy in that. But when ppl start buying into this foolish hot takes without properly understanding basketball....it becomes exhausting.
Steph didn't play up to his standard this year. For whatever reason. Bron hasn't played up to his standards in some finals as well. They are still all time great players. Ppl gotta actually sit back and look at the bigger picture.
Some of you ***** are clueless.

Westbrook torched Curry in the conference finals and outplayed him overall, despite the end result of the series which Klay and not Steph won for them in game 6. And all throughout the season Curry was torched by opposing point guards. Almost all star PGs had their game of the season against the Warriors this year, topped by the 50 point game by Lillard. Matthew friggin Dellavedova dropped a career high 20 points on him in last year's finals.
Cleveland running the "give it to whoever is guarded by Curry" offense is a big part of why they won. And that poorly defended Irving 3 point dagger in Curry's face sums up Curry's defense.
All this is predictable though. I can actually remember people writing mini essays about how Steve Nash "actually wasn't that bad of a defender" in his MVP years too, so no wonder the same is done for Curry who although better than Nash defensively is still a bad defender.
finally some people making sense in here, let's just kill this now and move on to the next Lebron hatin' point.
