I'm probably late on this, but it's hilarious: Deadspin
Roy Williams Proposed To A Woman Through The Mail, And It Did Not Go Well
Barry Petchesky —Football is easy; love is hard. Roy Williams isn't very good at either right now.

Williams was dating Miss Texas, as Dallas Cowboys are wont to do. Back in February, a time of year when Cowboys used to be winning rings of their own, Williams purchased one for $76,000. In a Valentine's Day care package to Brooke Daniels, he mailed her the following items:

•$5,000 for school and dental bills
•a signed baseball for Daniels's brother
•a recorded marriage proposal
•the ring

Who says romance is dead? Daniels did not accept Williams's offer of marriage, though it's unclear whether she turned him down via the US Postal Service. But she refused to return the ring, and six weeks later, told him she had lost it. In response, Williams filed a lawsuit against her and her father.
Michael Daniels said in a phone interview Tuesday that although he has documentation that Williams initially told his daughter to keep the ring, he will return it to avoid a lawsuit. Daniels didn't specify when or how the ring would be returned.

"He said (to Brooke Daniels), ‘I'm not like a lot of people, I don't want the ring back. You'll eventually come back to me,' and she didn't," Michael Daniels claimed.

She's just playing hard to get. Williams needs to mail her some flowers, maybe fax her the lyrics to a Peter Gabriel song, and she'll come back to him in a self-adressed stamped envelope.
