Well, as a Latino; I've never been to these groups but from what I see it's usually just that white man holding us down, or viva la raza, or some sort of Latino/Caribbean empowering thing.
Now I'm all for that, but it's odd. We go to the same college, same courses, we have an advantage in grades, and my application looks better than theirs because I can fill that corporations' minority quota. We may be oppressed in some ways but life is pretty good for us.
Also I do feel like what that dude said a drop of oil, pretty much everywhere I go, it's alright in some scenarios but in things like these it's like a token brown dude.
