As a passionate Lupe fan, this album was sub par to F&L and definitely not his best work. I think essentially he tried to out do himself metaphorically and thats why it was stopped short from going a long way as a hip hop classic.

Que? There was like one rock beat. Unless you include Little Weapon and if you don't like that joint you deserve to get smacked
The Cool is certainly a modern day classic, anybody who denies this either isn't listening right or is simply a hater. Asides from Below The Heavens I can't think of a better album that came out in 2007 (Game Theory was 06 right?)
Some people think it was subpar to F&L, i really can't agree with that. They're COMPLETELY different albums, apples and oranges, i hope his upcoming album switches it up in a similar way.
