i feel so lame, so i just usually order what my friends get.  give me some hidden gems (beer, mixers, shots, etc) to order thanks NT

You can always talk to the bartenders too and have them recommend you drinks. I do that all the time in nice spots. I've had everything under the sun so I get bored and have them pick stuff for me.
 
just get whatever the place has on tap. i try to stick to beer at the bar cause some places skimp on the alcohol
