Interstate 10 Checkpoint

Was just wondering if anyone knew the check point procedures
at the Interstate 10 checkpoint entering California from Phoenix...
I hear they ask if you've brought any fruit with you... Do they search your car and luggage?

Nah they shouldn't search your car unless you look suspicious. I've been through a checkpoint similar to like yours I think, but it was on the 5freeway. They made me take out my driver's license and asked me where I was headed. Nothing too bad, just look calm.
