I've seen people on espn say that he automatically gets their vote because he averaged a triple double. So if he averaged 9.8 or 9.9 rebounds someone else would deserve it because of .2 or .1 rebounds? If he wins he better thank his teammates for not going after rebounds and letting him get all that he could.

Not a fan, but respect his game. Rooting for harden to get it, but wouldn't be mad if Russell gets it. He had a sick year stats wise.

Bro, OKC has ZERO rebounders. If Russ wasn't pulling down 10 every night they'd be getting eaten on the boards regularly.

The Thunder out-rebounded the Wolves by 20 in the only game Westbrook didn't play this season.

They have Kanter, Adams, and Taj Gibson, what do you mean they have zero rebounders?
OKC is literally the best rebounding team in the league (1st in offensive rebounding, 3rd in defensive rebounding. Denver is the only other team that's top 5 in both). OKC's scheme is for their to bigs to intentionally let Russ grab as many defensive boards as possible (partly to fuel their fast break and partly, let's be honest, to gift some cheap ones to Russ) but Kanter and Adams are both top 10 in the damn league in offensive rebound rate.
