some of the beats just remind me of shiny suit era bs.
And that's why the answer to the OP's question is no.

That's like saying one kid got a 98 on his final and the other two kids hit 99s. I don't even know if I can even agree with this statement to begin with.Like the majority of responses on here, album is whatever. It's the worst out of the Vol. trilogy. Can listen to only a couple songs. 5/10 album.
it's like that = one of his most underrated songs
one of my least favorite albums from him. not very cohesive to me...tho i like all the songs
Other than the RD and AG, what hov albums really have a cohesive theme though?one of my least favorite albums from him. not very cohesive to me...tho i like all the songs

The best thing about this album is its verstatility. The songs that were my favourites when I was little are not the same ones that I like now that I'm much older. When I was 9, basically all the singles were my favouirtes, but now its songs like A Week Ago and Ride or Die. J**** What J**** Who is one of the best live Jay songs too, when he hits that last verse and then transitions smoothy into something else like You Dont Know man.......
^Thats sort of how I feel (except with Coming of Age, that song sounds as good today as back then). I wasn't listening to A Week Ago and Reservoir Dogs nearly as much back then compared to as the years went by
dont forget N.Y.M.P.Agreed with this, one of my favorites.
Even though I say it sounds dated, it's still my 4th favorite Jay album. People mustve heard a different Vol. 1 & 3.
Vol. 1 has classic songs on it but it having The City Is Mine and I Know What Girls Like just ******* kill it from being any type of "great/classic" album.
I really only remember liking So Ghetto from Vol. 3. Very forgettable IMO.
Nope. Solid album but I can only listen to about half the album nowadays
