Japan's odd obsession with sex, rape, school girls, voyeur etc. Why...?

I think we can all agree when it comes to sex, porn, fetishes, it's the most mainstream in Japan. It's accepted and no one says anything about it which I find very odd.

The post was inspired by the Wii U and what Japan wants to see made...

Yeah, in every country they get a little wild but I've never seen it so accepted like Japan. It's like they pride themselves for being perverts and creeps. The amount of  undressing, "dating" games across all platforms is disturbing... Is going out and meeting girls frowned upon there? It must be tough for girls there.

Anytime I think of Japanese people and their home lives, I feel like it's a very perfunctory kind of lifestyle...each person has their roles: Father makes the money, mother does the house work, kids go to school. and it's like they leave no room for just randomness like say Americans do.

Since they live such a "proper" kind of life it makes them lowkey get into these hentai, voyeuristic type fetishes and what not on the side, outside of their families. I really can't say if this is how it really goes down of their but this has been my impression of them for the longest. I also feel like people in a family over their probably know that their family members get down with these types of things but it's possibly taboo to talk about it to them.

Japanese dont have Victorian traditions, thats why. Actually, the japanese have the least sex out of most and it is accepted in their traditions for the husband to have sex outside of marriage aslong as he pays for it.

It's true. And to add to that, it's also acceptable for a mother to "offer" her body to her son as well.

i've always wondered why they have all those obsessions.....never really though about it too much, but im wondering what from the history of their culture would sprout obsessions like these.....

Saw something on TV about it. As I understand it they make a bigger distinction between sex and love than we do. Many women are apparently comfortable with their husbands sleeping with prostitutes because it's only sex and there is no emotional attachment involved.
