Yeah it does. Because I said it does. Who are you to decide what makes a good song?Originally Posted by LuckyLuchiano

Thats just how NY is . . . I mean all of our BIGGEST stars/legends dont really *$+! with NY like that anymore, and I mean that by sayin dudes got TOO big to just rock a show at Club Speed, I gotta go see Maino or Uncle Murda there and ninjas is WAAAAY to tuff to throw their hands up, its almost funny . . . How tuff were you when you bought the ticket?? And actually enjoyed the music enuff to go to a show, now you get here and wanna act like we in Rikers just grillin ninjas and schemin on ninjas #@+% . . .
Hot97 dont *$+! with local artists really, I mean ninjas cant even stand in front of Hot97 and hand out CDs, DJs aint allowed to accept CDs from people in front of the buildings like we put AIDS on a Compact Disc . . . So no NEW ninjas without MAJOR label backing can get his record played in his hometown . . . Its frustrating, sad, *$+! up, and everything else that would discourage a muh****a . . . Ninjas gotta leave NY to get noticed . . . That was UNHEARD of 10 (or even 5 years ago), ninjas used to come to NY to GET a deal, now ninjas come here AFTER they already get one. NY has fell off is MANY ways, people just lost all hope in a NY ninja being able to LEAD the new generation, and its prolly my NY bias, but I don't see hip hop being in the right direction without a NY ninja hand on the wheel . . . I'm sure all regions have that same feelin . . .
Sorry for the long post, just struck a nerve cause its a hopless attitude thats spreading throughout the tri-state that has talented artists not being given a fair oppurtunity . . . Being an NY ninja used to be a advantage (or selling point to a certain extent), now its a liability ;{ninjas done @%@+%! up the game

I mean, Y'all did birth Hip-Hop no question, But I don't see how somebody else from another region couldn't lead the game as long asthey were true to the artform.

Wow, That's true as hell when you think about it...
that #*@# aint mainstream... we talkin bout mainstream... nobody gives a %%@$ about backpack records...
You can make mainstream music with good vocabulary and metaphors...doesn't have anything to do with 'back pack'.
Just look at anybody who was maintained any type of longevity in the game.
yall might still b drivin but its wit expired plates, no insurance, and suspended Ls...
