Terius Gray, known to New Orleans rap fans as Juvenile, was arrested and booked into the Orleans Justice Center jail at roughly 2 a.m. Saturday (June 17), with failure to pay child support and contempt of court, according to court records.
Civil Court Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott has ordered that Gray, 42, must pay $154,000 to Dionne Williams for support of his son, or face 90 days behind bars. He is being held at the Orleans Justice Center jail on $150,000 bond.

The influential rapper is credited with helping establish the "bounce" style in New Orleans music in the 1990s with songs such as "Back That Thang Up." He is a member of The Hot Boys, a legendary hip-hop group that includes Lil Wayne. Juvenile, with fellow Louisiana rapper Mystikal, is scheduled to perform at the Arena Theater in Houston on Saturday (June 17), starting at 8:30 p.m.
According to court documents, Gray is accused of owing $155,000 since 2012. He is credited with paying $20,000 in 2017. Gray also was booked with contempt of court for failure to appear at a May 8 hearing, as well as lack of child support payment.
According to court documents, Gray also is accused of owing $71,000 in child support payments to Williams dating from 2013 to present, but that amount is not included in the reasons for his arrest on Saturday.
