Not sure what was groundbreaking about the Kobe 9. Same midsole and upper as the 8 (more or less) but with a flyknit version. No new tech was introduced

I have 2 pairs of 7s, 5 pairs of 8s, 1 pair of elite 9s, and will have zero pairs of Xs. I have a feeling the KD 8s are gonna be bananas, my boy who works at Nike HQ said they're going to be totally different than what's been in the line up till now. Who knows though...

 KD 8 man... very curious.  Very happy with how the VII turned out
 
First impression of the X's I can say WOW they feel AMAZING on foot once I put them on, The balance of the Zoom and Lunar def a great combo. Definitely wider toe box from the 9s maybe a little to wide for me ppersonaly. Not really feeling the fuse honestly I think EM would have been a better choice, but a flyknit LOW should be amazing. Midsole is very Plush there's a "Blackout" colorway dropping the 21st. Here's a few pics. Feel free to follow my IG page guys I will be posting more on it.

I wonder how they're gonna do the blackout with that translucent sole? Will it be standard on all releases because I haven't seen a X with a normal sole.

Honestly you can literally push the midsole with finger and it's soft, like I said before feels really plush on foot. I'm sure it will bottom out the question is how long will that take, I'm 6"3 225 so I'm guessing different player sizes also plays a factor.
