Sports Academy retiring 'Mamba' from name

Out of respect for the late Kobe Bryant, the Mamba Sports Academy is retiring "Mamba" from its name, with a new website and logo rebranding.

This doesn’t make sense to me and the reason the ceo gave is lame. Sounds like he’s trying to push Kobe’s name out of his own gyms.

Doesn’t make sense. Wonder if Kobe’s estate was behind his name being removed. Maybe they don’t want his name attached to training athletes when his vision and guidance is no longer part of it.
Otherwise, you’d think they’d want to keep the name to honor and respect Kobe’s memory.

I fee like this shop came out of nowhere. Previously when you went to the merch section of the website it took you to eastbay. Was gonna order the dad cap and then saw it came out to $40 after shipping. Think I'll have to pass.
