**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

The obsession with Buddy Hield is odd
Kobe took one pic with Buddy they been in love with him ever since

It would be a 1 year rental at 18m versus just drafting a rookie on a cheap 3 year deal that could potentially be a better player. And then if you're trading picks you'd drop back all the way to 26 when the talent falls off around 20. I could see them doing the Nets trade but indy I don't get

The nets trade would be fine as well assuming it's DFS, he can knock down threes and is a more than capable defender on a good team as we saw in dallas. Trent & Heild are shooters who aren't really good defensively & aren't really good playmakers. We just saw how useful that is when shots aren't falling (see beasley)

Need shooting because the offense isn't great (AD can be contained/has offensive warts, Bron slowing down, can you trust the others?) or two way play to prevent getting played off the floor come playoff time?

We shouldn't be going with any exclusive 1 way players ie (D-Lo, Vando).

Shooters are never shooters when they put on the purple and gold anyway.

That kind of kills Buddy Hield or Myles opportunities

Based on value charts 17 & 40 is equal to the 13th pick if they want to move up to late lottery.

Based on the guys they've worked out they must really like somebody in that 40 range

Believe last year they didn't work out Christie, they just interviewed him at the combine.

Don't think they've brought back any prospects back for a second workout like they did Swider last year.

Also keep in mind, these are just the prospects they officially announced. There's definitely been prospects they brought in but didn't announce.

 dude bought the old nuke squad house

edit: after watching and reading the subtitles, looks like they rented it from him. he bought the house in 2020
