he held his own/ outshined Jay on MULTIPLE occasions.

He's never really had crossover appeal. Given his circumstances, I'd say he had a very successful career.

He had a pretty good run...

But damn near EVERY bump in the road was from his own stupidity...

Even with the way he handled the situation with Mr Knowles...

He had a GREAT 3 album run tho...

Had a chance you REALLY get the State Prop movement off the ground...

While Mr Knowles usually gets the blame, its more B Seig's fault... Had he stayed out of trouble he would've been the one bringin an Oschino & Sparks album to the table, P Crack etc...

He NEVER fulfilled his potential tho

Second to Jigga in the Roc Hierarchy....at least till Ye grabbed the mic. Only MC in my opinion other than BIG to outshine Jay on every track they did together.
3 (?) solo gold albums
A classic in The B.Coming and a solid "album" in Broad Street Bully
Two very solid compilations (SP I and II)
Helped Introduce Freeway and Young Chris to the world
a disgusting verse on "Crew Love"

With all that said, Beans never really solidified his position. I was just thinking today that every crew that mattered had a "shooter"....Beans was that guy. There's less commercial appeal..but the streets ride for you.
