Been Spending the last 6 months looking for a spot to move into and after a lot of haggling, calls, and interviews, copped the studio Apartmetn of my dreams. got a nice cheap rent (For NYC) to go with it. Feels good to wake up, do some exercise, cook breakfast and head to work with no distractions. Also my commute is cut in half since i'm 2 stops from the city. Also in NYC chicks are quick to come over when they know you got your own spot. shoutout to everyone in the bachelor pad thread for the ideas. Share? discuss?

To answer thw Q's.

I pay $619 a month in rent to move into a newly made building in Bushwick. @ blocks from the train station and the area is getting gentrified so the police presence keeps the goons away. I make a little under $30K a year so I went the low income housing route. In NYC there is some 80/20 apartments and whatnot but they are so hard to get because there are so many people looking for affordable housing. It took forever because the leasing company couldn;t get their stuff together and kept handing my file off to someone else. Feel good to be able to chill with my friends in W'burg or Bushwick and have em come back to my crib for drinks and smokes. BTw i'm 29. It took me way too long to get out i\IMO but i aint ever going back

Feels good man. Just got my own apt in San Francisco is the heart of the Haight.

Doesn't it feel great to be able to do anything you want?  You can take a dump with the door open.  Have sex in the kitchen or wherever you feel like it.  Watch porn, play video games, blaze till you sleep, wake up whenever, etc... and NO ONE CAN SAY $*+@ about it!  It feels good to be the King in your own castle man!

ill hopefully doing that next summer but not with my own place. renting in DC (the city, not that DMV *@@%) is a $!!!%...all studios are like no less than $1200. If they are cheaper, 99% of the time they are in a @!+%*# area.

Looks like I'll be renting a room, which is not that bad considering most of the people I know my age (23) do that in DC since rent is so damn high. I rented a room in college and it wasn't bad at all.
