NBA LIVE 15: PS$ and XB1 released

So instead of giving me specifics and comparing it to a real jersey, you tell me to look at another game's jersey?
Also I'm not asking you this because I believe the jersey is perfect. I'm asking cuz I believe you're nitpicking simply because it's live.
2K hasn't even done jerseys properly yet. Every year something is wrong with how they look in game but no one says anything.

He got on a g unit tanktop that says heat foh

I simply ask you to back up your claim and you respond with hyperbole. We done here.

Still doesnt look fluid
There were some moments where it didn't look that fluid.

Leaps and bounds over that trash they released last year though.

I'd rather go back and play NBA Courtside 2 for N64 than touch that game again.

 at the GUnit tank top.

That jersey shape is horrrrrrible though.

Downloaded the raw uncompressed trailer, hooked my laptop up to my tv and went frame by frame.

There's a noticeable difference from the YT trailer. If the game really looks like that it will be quite impressive visually.

I did the same for the 2K15 trailer and if both games look like that at launch Live's player models should be slightly more realistic.

Live's accessories definitely look better. Jerseys look about the same

Couldn't definitively tell you whose looked better but I am leaning towards 2K.

2K will undoubtedly feel better though. Everything looked smoother than it did in the Live trailer. I don't think live will get gameplay down until next year with Live 16.

Even then I don't think there will be a real competition until live 17 and 2K17. I can't wait until there's 2 good basketball games to choose from

According to the official NBA Live 15 website, the game has been delayed. The original release date of October 7th has been updated with an October 28 release date.

We have reached out to EA for comment. We should hear something official soon and we will update the post.

Thanks for the heads up @omole21!!

As long as the game is good when it releases the release date shouldn't matter too much.

This is a bad look for them though

You can't be doing this while trying to earn back respect.

They messed up

People aren't going to hold out for Live.
This right here. I know they lost a potential customer with me. I want them to do good but I ain't waiting 3 extra weeks for a basketball game when another perfectly good one will be right there on the shelves.

I'll be waiting, and maybe they are releasing it the 28th because that's the NBA kick off right? With those ignite servers and the in game hot spots, idk but im not planning on getting 2k

 they've had all this time to make a decent game and now it's delayed. Yeah they already lost, most people outside of die hard Live fans don't even take them seriously anymore. Unless they're gonna pull a price cut this is going to be a flop.

the game is already packaged and what not, idk why they would delay unless they want to make the game a "true" NBA experience

I'll wait, with Destiny and D3 around I'll be pretty occupied for that extra few weeks.

Some quick looks at gameplay. Player models look really good but many of the animations still look stiff.
NBA LIVE 15 Open Letter from Sean O’Brien
Posted September 8th at 5:00pm.

Hey everybody,

If you’re anything like me, after following all of the storylines leading up to this year's NBA Draft, a really entertaining NBA Summer League and all the other basketball news this summer, you're excited for the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season.  It should be amazing.

The team has been pushing hard all year to make NBA LIVE 15 both look and play great, and I couldn’t be prouder of the work they’ve done. You may have seen a few early preview pieces pop up from our visits with press or our recent trip to Gamescom, and we’ve been getting some great feedback from our conversations with the media, as well as from all of the play testing we’ve been doing over the last few months.

It was great to see such a positive response to our Visuals Trailer that we released last week. We think we’ve come a long way since the launches of the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 last November, and we’re still working on tuning certain areas in 5-on-5 gameplay.  The team took on an incredible amount of work this year literally touching every single system in gameplay, focusing on providing improved control and responsiveness, as well as animation that both looks and feels great.  That will be our calling card moving forward.

Considering all the work that’s gone in so far, we will be taking a few extra weeks to polish the game and make sure you get an incredible NBA experience from the moment you first boot up the title.  This extra development time means we will be moving our launch date to October 28 to line up to opening night of the 2014-15 NBA season. This was a hard decision, but it’s the right one, as we are totally committed to delivering the highest-quality game we possibly can. You’ll be hearing a lot more from us over the coming weeks, starting with a brand-new gameplay blog that will give you the first details on all the ways we plan to deliver on our promises to build a better experience.

As I said, we’re very proud of the improvements we’ve made in NBA LIVE 15, and we believe with some additional time, our game will reach its full potential.

We’ll also be providing additional blogs, videos, deep-dives and more in the coming weeks as the game comes together and we prepare for launch.  And as always, I encourage all of you to make up your minds and see for yourself by playing the trial when it becomes available closer to launch.
NBA LIVE 15 Gameplay Overview Blog
Today we’re excited to share some of our first gameplay details for NBA LIVE 15 and give you an idea of what you’ll be seeing when the game launches this October. Going into this year, we knew we had a lot of work to do in gameplay.  We’ve been doing major upgrades across all systems, including the AI, to create a great flowing NBA simulation.  We’ve been building a game from the ground up with a focus on a control scheme that is accessible but also has layers of depth for advanced players.  At the same time, we’re ensuring that you feel in control at all times with extremely responsive movement and actions throughout every aspect of the game.  That responsiveness that feels good needs to be supported and driven by amazing animation that looks good.

One big change we made to animations this year is how players go up for layups and dunks. Last year the “gather” (where the player picks up the ball and begins his footwork into a shot or any type of jumping motion) and the shot itself were separate animations, which led to some strange looking and feeling situations due to some really awkward transitions.  This year we’ve kept the gather and dunk/layup as one animation. The sheer volume of dunk and layup animations added this year will ensure a variety of different outcomes when attacking the rim.  This does two things for us; it preserves the integrity of the motion capture to create a smoother-looking play, and it drastically reduces the chances of creating a strange hitch or transition in the animation.  At the end of the day, this means you as the player will be able to pull off some cool looking dunks and layups that feel right and pay off as you’d expect.

This video gives you a good look at our improved ball handling. Notice Harden’s signature move that has been added to the game, as well as how quickly he can attack the basket after creating an opening for himself.  We want you to feel totally in control in NBA LIVE 15, never stuck in animations or unable to execute when an opportunity arises.  We’ve simplified the dribble moves to be mapped to flicks and holds of the right thumbstick, and contextual animations make it easier to pull off those ‘wow moments’ off the bounce.  The ultimate goal is to give you more creativity and freedom when the ball is in your hands using signature moves from your favorite NBA superstars.

At the end of the clip, you’ll see our new rag-doll physics system in action, delivering physicality that looks and feels great at both ends of the court. When players go up for—or contest—a dunk and a layup, the physics system turns on, creating realistic contact and forcing both offensive and defensive players to make midair adjustments to establish position.  We’ve added a ton of new of animations in this feature alone so you’ll see a wide variety of various degrees of collisions when players start crashing into each other.  As if it wasn’t already fun enough to either posterize your buddy or stop him at the rim, now it feels even better.

In this last clip, we want to highlight the improvements made to off-ball motion and contextual awareness. As you can see by Waiters’ movement, players are now able to find open space with the press of a button (LB/L1) thanks to the Quick Action playcall system. We’ve also improved the user’s ability when playing on-ball defense. Now, it is easier to cut off drives and stay in front of the basketball with bumps, jostles and contests – in this case – forcing Waiters to make a pass.

So that’s a quick snapshot of a few things we’re working on, and there’s plenty more to come including improvements to shooting, shot blocking, rebounding, guarding the basketball and the AI.  We’ll be providing a deeper look at all of these parts of the game, as well as more info on additional modes and features in the coming weeks.

As you may have already heard, we’re taking three extra weeks to polish some last elements of gameplay, as well as fine-tune and balance the game.  We’re looking forward to seeing everybody on the court on October 28 and as always, thank you for your support of NBA LIVE.
